DANIEL POV     "This seems promising. There is an off-road path to the water here," Boyd says, and I nod.   "Roll down the window. See if you can smell anything," I urge, and he instantly follows the order.   He closes his eyes and inhales the outside air as we slowly drive down the dirt/grass road.
