Chapter 1

"Linda" I whined at my best friend, Linda Merida. She is more of a morning person unlike me. She's like a sister to me. We do everything together. She has blonde hair that goes beyond her collarbone and blue dark eyes. "Samantha" She mimicked me. I glared at her. I do not sound like that. She was by the door tapping her feet on the ground. "Seriously, we need to go to school." "No, I want to sleep," I said as I put my pillow on my face to cover the light. Ugh! I hate mornings! "No, it's your 18th birthday and I thought you were excited to find your mate," she says. It's true. I have been waiting for this to come. To find that one person that completes you. Some wolves couldn't find their mates on the day because their mates might not be in their pack. They can be anywhere. But I get

Chapter 2

He pushed me against the wall kissing my jaw down to my neck. It's like someone is controlling my arms and wrapping them around his neck. He immediately attacked my sweet spot then I bit my lip trying to suppress my moans. He noticed then smirked. He sucked it hard then licked it. I tried to calm my raging heart. I let out a gasp when he bit my spot. "R-Ryder!" I say in a hushed tone. "S-Stop" "Hey guys, have you seen Sam?" My eyes widened. Linda was just around the corner while I was having a heated make-out with Ryder of all people. I quickly pushed Ryder off me, but he held me tighter and growled. "Who's that?" I could hear footsteps coming in our direction. I panicked and Ryder set me down, but he didn't look happy. I fixed my blouse then my hair while Ryder just watched me.

Chapter 3

I must have a plan B to slow down Linda. Something or someone that Linda can't run over. The last time I used the wrong person was Coen, the innocent-looking boy back in elementary. I thought she would stop to say "excuse me" to the nice human boy but no. She totally ran him over and chased me leaving him on the floor confused about why he was overpowered by the shortest girl in elementary. Then I remember Riley. He has the same class as Linda next and he always waits for her beside the door. If that doesn't work, then just hope I can run fast. I stared at the clock, not paying attention to the teacher. Just 5 more seconds and I'll be out of this class then go to my next class without Linda glaring at me from time to time. The bell rang.

Chapter 4

Ryder Point of ViewSamantha basically avoided me the whole day after our kiss. She wasn't there at lunch and in English class. What makes me think that she'll want to see me now? To reject me is one possible way.Or maybe she is still mad at me for giving her detention for what I drew on her math book. I drew on it yesterday, hoping she'll get in trouble. It was kind of a payback for dyeing my hair pink last week.I drove to Samantha's house then I suddenly felt nervous. What if she really does reject me. This will ruin my relationship with my friends and with her brother. This will ruin my relationship with her. I had always liked her.Since the beginning. The first time we met, she never talked to me. Then we fough

Chapter 5

Unknown Point of View"Sir?" A rogue entered the room. I gave him and his companion a job a few hours ago. I motioned him to move closer. He hesitated at first then nervously moved closer. I frowned at him."Is the job done," I asked. I didn't like what I saw. His face was pale, and I smell fear. I opened the drawer beside my desk. "Where is your companion?""M-My brother didn't make it," he says sorrowfully but fear was still laced in his voice. I tusked. I grabbed a gun from the drawer and pointed it at him. "N-No! Please!""You have exactly 5 minutes to explain what the hell went wrong?""H-her mate was protecting her while she was shifting. We were fine until she

Chapter 6

Bruce Point of view "What are you doing here, Bruce?" I didn't bother to look up. I knew it was Christina in one of Xavier's shirts. I had to roll my eyes. Mates. I'm already 18 and mate less. It didn't bother me. I don't even think I need one, much less want one. I think of them as bothersome. I just need my friends. That would be enough. I continued to eat my sandwich as she grabbed the bag I brought. "I brought clean clothes, told your parents you're fine before they can start worrying about you, and cooked you breakfast," I say as I pull the cooked bacon out of the stove and place them on a plate. "Where is my thank you?" Christina half smiled and murmured. "I was just going to make Xavier breakfast." I smiled and congratulated her about them being mates. She blushes. "Have they woken up yet?"

Chapter 7

Christina Point of view I laughed and Linda could only crack a smile and muffled a laugh. "What's so funny?" Sam asks. I managed to catch up when Sam was telling Linda what happened. It's morning break right now and we just stayed outside to get away from the crowd. "Sam, I saw you running away from Linda and Ryder at the same time and honestly you look like a chicken having a heart attack whenever you see them," I said laughing. "Ryder is not going to reject you. Like, have you seen him staring at you like a puppy in love. Come on! Behind those insults, pranks, and all that trash talk, he would never reject you. He likes you and everyone knows, especially Xavier. Xavier didn't mind because he knew Ryder would never hurt you." "Sam, you can be so naive sometimes and sometimes you let your anger cloud your eyes-"

Chapter 8

Sam Point of viewThe bell rang. We all stood up and made our way to our class. Sam stops. "I think you guys should go ahead. My wolf just got in my head and my head really hurts now." We nodded. We already experience that stage where your wolf just suddenly appears. It's a lot to take in. Literally.I walked very slowly because the voices in my head were muffled but were very loud. It sounded like someone scratching a metal object then wood then it was something else. Was this normal? They only said that your wolf will only make wolf noises and talk in a really loud voice since the connection between us isn't strong enough to hear them clearly.I rubbed my head. All I hear are claws scratching on objects I can't tell. Then I hear barking than a bell. A loud bell. This can't be normal. My head really hurts, I need to lay down. I reached

Chapter 9

Sam Point of View The whole day I was with Ryder. He was really helping me through the shifting and bonding with my wolf "Snow" which is also ironic since my wolf is white which also adds up to Snow White. Anyway, Ryder is a great help in helping me block my wolf from listening to my thoughts. I have trouble sometimes, but I can manage in time. We were walking in the hallway when suddenly he pulled me by the waist, and we walked in the opposite direction of the exit. "Ryder, classes are over, and the exit is that way," I said, pointing my thumb to the exit behind us. "I forgot something," Was his reply. My eyebrows dropped. "Then get it yourself," I said a little bit harshly. Ryder glanced at me and I gave an apologetic look. "Sorry, that came out on instinct." Three years of at each othe

Chapter 10

Sam Point of View After the whole fight was over, everything got easier. Ryder and I get to use our first name instead of our last name. We don't fight a lot now. We argued but it didn't last long. We both became honest with ourselves. Everything was perfect. Except, of course, your wolf tries to cause chaos in your mind 24 hours a day. I still can't get the whole blocking right. Every now and then Snow, my wolf, barks at me at the back of my head. I guess she wasn't happy when I blocked her most of the time. 'A wolf's purpose was to guide you and not to sit back and watch you make mistakes over and over again.' My wolf nags. When Snow was able to break free from the block, she basically nags and scolds me the whole time. She is driving me insane.
