Leon’s PoV Without opening my eyes, I already knew it was morning. Not knowing what time, I moved my left arm over, turning my body ninety degrees believing Chris was still here sleeping right next to me, but instead I felt no warmth or even a figure sleeping next to me. Quickly I widened my eyes, believing he has once again tried to escape from me, and like usual, he wasn’t there, the bed itself felt cold meaning he must have woken up quite early. Even thought we are now within the same bedroom, I don’t feel like we have gotten that close yet, by the time I finished my paperwork and sorted any problems within the pack, Chris would already be asleep on the bed. But then in the morning when I wake up, he’ll already left the room. I sighed not knowing how to get close to him, the only time I would speak to him or get to know him is when I am walking around the pack house, on occasions, I would see him around the place helping. Chris' PoV Everyone was preparing for their outfits ready for the banquet that would happen within the palace whilst I was nonchalantly carrying out my everyday schedule as if nothing has changed or happened. I mean there was no point, the day was bound to happen, it was just a matter of time, the only thing we had to prepare for was the journey there and back also our outfits which I wasn't worried about. I had a perfect disguise, I went into my bag and brought out a wig in a neat and tidy male like short black hair, a masquerade mask of black and white covering the whole face which I asked for Zack to prepare and a suit along with some bandages and as an extra measure, I also prepared lenses to cover my eye colour. Although, I could come out with the truth and tell everyone that I am a girl but since everyone already believes I am a male, then might as well keep up with the disguise. It can also work to my advantage in the future if anything happens

Chris' PoV By the time the sun rises, it was already the next morning; Leon as per usual was having a tight grip around my waste making it hard to escape. I mean now it’s like my daily routine has added an extra step which is attempting to escape Leon’s grasp before I could do anything. But luckily, I found a way to cope, whenever I stopped resisting, his grip would slowly loosen, enough for me to slip my way out. It was as if his body is adjusting like vines that tighten when strong movement are made but loosens when there’s no movement. And just as I got out of his grip, I quickly made my way towards my bag to get some necessities before checking the time which indicated 6:30 am. With that I tip toed towards the bathroom, seeing how the party is not until later tonight, I decided there was no use wearing my suit now so instead after showering and cleaning myself up, I wore some comfortable sports wear but of course not forgetting my hoodie.   After eve

Chris' PoV As the bell suddenly rang, sounding the signal that the banquet has begun, I swiftly made my exit and walked down towards the hall where everyone would be waiting. Getting closer, I slowly approached the double door which meticulously opened revealing a dazzling hall with beautiful, jewelled lights of chandeliers, males wearing a neat and tidy suit accompanied by their partners who wore a nice and lovely dress, every one of them present at the scene were wearing masks and many of them were in the middle of the hall as they began to dance, and to the side of the dance floor laid several rows of table containing yummy food of different kinds. Looking around, it was much like a fantasy world, just like those from the Cinderella story although I don’t think there would be a Cinderella here. As the sound of something breaking within me turned louder, I suddenly felt a rush of power come over me and most of all anger. Anger aimed towards that woman who attacked my mate, and before I knew what I was doing, I was already in front of her, holding onto her neck, tightly gripping it leading to little air going into her lungs, as her features turned colour, she realised she was about to die, she used all her strength to muster up enough magical power to form ice shards to attack me but none was able to even put a scratch on me, it was as if I was shielded by an invisible barrier causing everyone in the room to gasp at such a scene. “Wh...who are you?” The woman asked with her features turning purple. “None of your business” I replied before I snapped her neck causing the lights in her eyes to slowly wither away. I then dropped her body onto the floor before scanning my eyes around my surrounding, allocating all the enemies before copying the woman’s mov
