Chapter 51 - Chaos Ensues

Mrs Sweeny aka; old cane lady, aka; Grand Elder hatefully glared at Ruthless in utter frustration. Bulky oldie stopped two steps away from Steph and slowly stretched his hand to grab Wilson from her grip. Steph had already backed away until she was blocked by her fellow colleagues who had been bored out of their mind. Steph was really unwilling to give Wilson up. She wanted him dead but his neck was surprisingly difficult to snap and the bulky, male twin oldie’s intimidating aura was making it difficult for even her to breathe or move properly.“oh come on, young lady. I have given you my offer. Why is it so difficult for you to accept? Are you finding it hard because you have a deep sense of loyalty? Well, even though you are so loyal, have you thought about why they are willing to snatch your brother’s murderer from your grip? I mean, he is almost unconscious and they choose to let him live. Doesn’t that mean they care less about you than they do, the boy? If not, why would they go

Chapter 52 - I Did What I Could!

Old man Jenkins yelled as he ran towards the swordsman. His intention was to charge right through him. No human, beast, spirit or god would stop him from saving the boy. Now that his head was in the clear, he felt very guilty and thought it was his responsibility to keep Wilson alive. The swordsman raised his left hand and turned it anticlockwise as if he was tampering with a safe lock. Old man Jenkins immediately felt himself slow down a little. It was just by a little, barely noticeable but that was all the swordsman needed to take control. The swordsman swung his double handed silver claymore at old man Jenkins. Old man Jenkins knew that he was a goner if that claymore touched him. His pupils turned green and thick green mist flowed out of him to meet up with the swordsman’s sword. The sword corroded badly and by the time it hit old man Jenkins, it was pretty much just rust. The green misty veil that covered old man Jenkins’ body further corroded the sword and it broke just millise

Chapter 53 - The Elders are at Fault.

Old man Jenkins stood in the middle of the chaos. Abilities, talismans and weapons were flying everywhere, reaping lives and destroying properties. Old man Jenkins was shrouded by his corrosive, green mist as he looked around with a panicked look boldly written on his face. He was scared for Alice, his granddaughter. He knew that she was going to die if he did not find her soon. After all, the brainwashing spell was very powerful. It made them obey orders without question and unless ordered otherwise, they would obey till they were dead. Old man Jenkins knew that none of the people that lived here were in their right senses. There was surely some spell or another, keeping them bound to this place that was known as the revolutionaries’ base. Lots of thoughts went through old man Jenkins’ mind at the same time. Where was she? Where could she be? Those f*cking elders! How could they do such a thing? Messing with people’s brains like that. What was their real motive? They said they wan

Chapter 54 - Inside a Magical Wormhole.

Wilson woke up abruptly with a gasp. He could feel someone holding on to him tightly. He could feel a certain kind of involuntary movement. It felt like he was being moved at an insane speed even though there was no movement in his body. His insides felt like it was being squeezed and twisted by some invisible forces. It was a confusing and very uncomfortable feeling for him. He tried to open his eyes but then found out it was already opened. It was just so dark around him, it was as if his eyes were still closed. Slowly, his eyes somehow adjusted to the darkness around him and he was able to make out bits of existences zooming past him occasionally or perhaps, it was him that was crazily zooming past them. Wilson could not make the slightest sense of it. It was confusing to say the least. Wilson tried to move his hands but the hand was gripping him firmly, his hands were gripped along with his waist. He struggled a little more and the grip got firmer, hurting Wilson a little in the p

Chapter 55 – Statue in the Snow (part 1).

“Ahhhhh!........ Ugh!”Wilson yelled and grunted as he hit the ground with a thud. He stood up slowly after resting in the same lying position for about seven minutes. He looked around and saw a plain barren field with zero trees and barely any grass. The field seemed to stretch on for all of eternity. At least, that was how he saw it. There did not seem to be any beasts or animals in sight and he breathed a sigh of relief. It seems like he was going to be safe for some time. A short while, probably, but it was better than nothing.“Where am I?” Wilson asked as he looked around again at the wide expanse of land with an inquisitive look on his face, mixed with a light touch of fear visible in his eyes. It was as if he was expecting or was it hoping, for someone, anyone to answer his question. He tried to listen for sounds of any kind; either man or beast, but the plain field was eerily silent. The sun scorched him badly and that was when he noticed that he was butt naked. A wave of sha

Chapter 56 – Statue in the Snow (part 2).

John and his seven year old son, Bryan, had ventured out of their small recluse village into the wild some couple weeks ago, in search of a rare medicinal plant that only sprouted once a year in small quantities. They lived in a geographical location that had only two seasons each year; summer which ranged from March till sometime around November and winter with the time range of November till February. The rare plant they were actively searching for, known as the ‘Summer ice plant’, had a very short life cycle, sprouting during the last two weeks of summer and dying in the first two weeks of winter. They were plants of great significance as they could cure all the common illnesses and even some rare kinds that involved ability cells. It was most useful for elemental ability users; those with fire, ice, earth and wind and related abilities as well. It was also an essential ingredient in the making of a certain kind of elixir for awakening the stagnant cells of those who have been conf

Chapter 57 - Monkeys Again?

Wilson had all sorts of thoughts in his mind at the same time. ‘What sort of name was Sum-Ter? Did the founder get so bored he decided to give it a stupid name? Does the word ‘Sum-Ter’ even have any meaning?’ he looked at them again as both father and son grinned foolishly.“Why are you looking like that?” Wilson asked. For some reason, both of them suddenly stopped laughing and looked at him seriously. Then, they turned around rapidly at the doorway. Wilson followed their line of sight and saw that there was a person sweating profusely and panting with a scared look as if the world was finally coming to an end. “S….Sir…I,I….” The person, a teenager, had barely caught his breath when he opened his mouth and began to talk. The end result, he could not even say a proper sentence. But somehow, the man in front of Wilson looked at the boy as if he understood and glanced briefly at his son beside him before rushing out of the room briskly with a stern, never before seen look on his face.

Chapter 58 - Snow Tiger on the Hunt

Wilson walked nonstop out of the small rural village and through the plain fields for the next one week. He was beginning to believe that those horned monkeys had left an indelible 'aggression mark' of some sort on him. After all, even though he ran away and avoided being seen, some stray horned monkeys still tried to mob him. He walked on and on, refusing to stop for reasons he would rather keep to himself out of embarrassment. His feet were filled with blisters and frostbite, he could barely walk, not to mention that he was extremely cold and would have been colder if he had not grabbed a woolen coat on his way out of the village. He regretted not stopping to take any footwears. Even slippers would have been better than nothing, right? He was hungry and tired and had not stopped running these past three days due to three white-furred horned monkeys. Who knew there were white horned monkeys, anyway? Wilson remembered himself being stunned at the beauty of the white fur as he stared f

Chapter 59- The Magic of pills

The three first gunshots had hit the tiger across its massive body. It was stunned at first as it inspected its body. When the tiger noticed it was not in any imminent danger, it turned to to the perpetrators who were not only not hidden at all but also chose to put on colorful clothing which made them very visible even from afar. They were also arguing so loudly, even Jim who was almost eaten just now could not help but shake his head in pity and embarrassment.'F*cking idiots!' Jim thought as he heard the men argue incessantly. He could not see them nor the tiger but he was sure as hell that they had made the beyond rookie mistake of taking their eyes off their prey. And tigers, being what they naturally were, would not take shit like this lying down. He felt the wind generated by the tiger's speed hit and rip at his face ten whole seconds after it had charged at the two hunters. Jim quickly struggled to break the thin ice layer and ran for his life without a second thought as he h

Chapter 60 - Where did you originate from?

"Damn, this dude is a lot more ripped than I initially thought. What kind of sh*t must he have gone through to have become dried up like that?" Jim muttered to himself as Wilson's body went through some highly needed transformation...(or is it restoration?)Wilson's only winter coat was already ripped off by Jim and was replaced by another. It was the extra wolf-fur winter coat Jim had in his backpack. Jim looked at his bag and sighed with emotion as he thought of how much difficulty he went through before he could afford it. Space related items like bags, rings, bracelets, televisions, literally anything, were insanely expensive and for poor or financially average people like him, they were also rare and created big targets on the owner's backs.Jim stopped to pick Wilson up and ran at a place that he believed would be best for long distances (you know, not too fast that one will be easily exhausted but not too slow, either). After all, the tiger might still decide to come for their
