Chapter One

The lights in the dorm of the 6th floor, Room 19 were on, even when it was 2AM. Of course, this wasn't an unusual feat for roommates, Moon Cho-ae and Kim Young-mi, with the latter pulling her infamous all-nighters to maintain her ranking.Lifting the eye cover gently, Cho-ae took a peek at her senior who flipped through her case studies and rubbed at her eyes that were stained of exhaustion. There was a familiar, comfortable silence that lingered in the air while only the uniform ticking of the clock could be heard. Adoration filled Cho-ae's chest when she realized how hard-working the ambitious woman of her roommate was."I know you're awake, Cho-ae." Without looking up from her desk, Young-mi spoke, startling the freshman. She let a sigh escape her lips before she sat up on her bed and flung her arms onto her lap.

Chapter Two

Classes were a blur for the rest of the week while Cho-ae only bothered herself with playing her guitar in the corner of the room while Young-mi studied and occasionally stole glances from her desk. Soon enough, she could rely mostly on muscle memory for the whole song and laid the guitar down to rest until the festival. "It's already 4pm. Where are those losers?" Cho-ae shivered in her bomber jacket, her eyes searching for one of her three friends. They all agreed to meet by the entrance of the College of Design, but none of them were to be found. Just as she was about to reach for her phone, a hand reached for her shoulder."Jesus! You scared the crap out of me." She turned to look at Hana, who was wearing a flannel over her college shirt, and with her was Hei-ran, dressed a little colder than the two of them.

Chapter Three

Cho-ae definitely fought back against that vulnerability that knocked down her walls, but as everyone was enjoying what was the beginning of the rest of their lives, she was skulking in a corner in her dorm room alone to cry her heart out. Because she shared the very same dorm room with a girl that was (presumably) straight, a girl that likes someone else. Stupid, she was definitely stupid for wasting a night like this. As she drowned out the sounds of the celebrations outside, Cho-ae prayed that these dumb feelings would all go away in the morning, because they should have never even been there in the first place.
