☆☆Kevin POV☆☆The moment I heard Mia saying that she was scared of the attic, I couldn’t hold the urge to tease her about it. However, I never thought that she would actually fight back and nail herself to the floor like that.The more she resisted, the more I wanted to take her up. For a while, l lost control and carried her up the stairs and forced her into the room.She was right about one thing for sure. The attic was indeed a cold and spooky place. But nothing to be scared about. I came back to my senses, when Mia held onto my arm and felt her icy cold fingers wrapped up around my arm .She was shivering; I was really surprised by her. I always knew she was a wuss but not like that.I wanted to make her face her fear. “What is so scary about it? It looks normal” I tried to assure her as I walked inside the room and looked around.The room was dark with a dim moonlight coming from the only window in it.

☆☆Mia POV☆☆As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw granny putting a tray on the table in my room in front of the La-Z-Boy. My head was hurting and banging like a hammer inside. The last thing I remembered, I was downstairs putting the things for Kevin on the couch and  then I went back to my room.I jumped out of bed and bent on the floor, I saw the horseshoe here. I looked under the bed and removed the rug but found nothing. It was on the floor next to my bed. Was I imagining things? Was I that frightened that I was hallucinating?“What is it dear?” granny’s voice startled me. “Nothing granny, I thought I saw something” I replied and stared at the floor again. ☆☆Kevin POV☆☆The second I heard Mia’s scream, my foot involuntarily hit the brake. However, everything went black for a few seconds; I didn’t hear anything nor see anything or even feel anything. I was totally numb.Then I started to hear a few distant voices: “call an ambulance” then, someone shaking my shoulder asked: “Are you okay?” “Are you hurt?”My vision was blurry at first, I felt fine, nothing hurt, no blood and no broken bones. I raised up my head that was resting on the steering wheel as I blinked my eyes a few times to clear my sight until I saw Mia next to me and I freaked out.She looked like she had hit her head against her side window and passed out. ☆☆Kevin POV☆☆ I ended the call with Jack and lost all of my senses at once. His words echoed in my ears continuously: “that thing is dangerous, don’t show it to anyone, and be careful around it” “Oh god it is all my fault. I even dragged Mia into this mess” I blamed myself for everything. I shouldn’t have gone to the attic in the first place. I stayed up all night pacing back and forth in my room, thinking about everything that happened since we found it and how it all made sense now. My alarm sounded next to me, bringing me back to reality. I got ready for school as fast as possible, gathered everything and went straight to Mia’s house. I wanted to catch her before she boarded the bus. I parked in front of her house and waited after I called her like a million times. It took her 15 minutes to come out. She stepped into the car complaining: “what the hell Kevin? You scared me. Why are you here? Did something….”

☆☆Mia POV☆☆The second I saw Ben behind me, I instantly froze. “What is he doing here? Why did he come to us?
