Walking slowly through the museum, Alexis smiled when he saw how one of those present offered him a glass of liquor, which he did not hesitate to take. It was usual that on weekends in the city, cultural places like the art museum or some squares became a place where people of high society gathered to socialize a little. So there were small private parties, where there were appetizers and glasses of liquor, being able to pass the time between the beauty of the works of art and the good company of people of similar social class to his own.Being greeted politely by many of the guests at the venue, Alexis spent most of his time among the various attendees at the event, who obviously wanted to have their time alone with the leader of the pack, showering the alpha with compliments and glowing words. On the other hand, Alexis' parents had taken Kuznetsov with them to show them around and introduce them to their closest friends, thus introducing the family of Naiya's fiancé,

"What did you say?"Feeling confused at hearing Luka's anger-filled words, Alexis took a little while to answer, saying, "I... I told you that I love you..."In Alexis' mind, for a moment he thought that after saying that, things would end up working out between them. That Luka would forgive him for all the things Alexis did to him, and that they would both start a romantic relationship, having a happy ending. But instead of that, ruining his dreams and wishes, Alexis watched as a grimace of disgust and anger was made on the omega's face, who was looking at him as if he was an idiot, extremely angry and disgusted by his words."Do you love me?" asked Luka: "Did you really just tell me that you love me?"Understanding that he had made a mistake, Alexis tried to apologize, "Luka, I don't want you to misunderstand me, I didn't mean it badly.""So you didn't mean it wrong? Don't expect to fool me, you fucking idiot... I know you don't love me, you neve

Freezing, Nikolai stood at the door of the mansion's living room, observing the spectacle that was taking place at the entrance of the mansion.Despite being a military man and knowing how to fight, Nikolai had never been in favor of violence, no matter if it was between alphas or omegas, he considered himself a pacifist, someone who would fight and hurt another person only if forced to do so.So seeing Luka on the floor, having been beaten by his fiancé, Nikolai felt blank, incredulous of what he had just witnessed, and beginning to feel sick just thinking about what he had just seen.Luka was an omega like any other, his body was much smaller than any alpha's, being slender and of short stature. Not wanting to notice his soft and somewhat delicate appearance, Nikolai could only think that Estephan was a bastard. Luka's fiancé was a full-fledged alpha, with a big, muscular body that was almost twice Luka's size. And seeing that nasty guy touch and

In silence, Alexis stared silently into the darkness of his room, he could only think of one thing, Luka.In his head, he couldn't stop repeating to himself that the omega had been hit because of him, that because Alexis couldn't control himself, Luka's fiancé realized what they had both been doing, and decided to react that way. Alexis knew it wasn't right to think like that, that there was no way he should excuse Estephan for being a bad alpha and hurting Luka, but he couldn't help thinking that the younger boy might not have been hit if it hadn't been for Alexis. What should he do then?Alexis felt that his life was too intertwined with Luka's, and those bonds were growing stronger with each passing day as their two younger brothers finalized their engagement. What would happen in the future? The two of them would be family, and at Christmas parties or on some trip, Luka and Alexis would coincide again, both of them would end up seeing each other again

*** 5 years earlier ***Alexis couldn't help himself, leading all the people in the city who had gone with him, and standing in the middle of the road like an idiot, Alexis had been stunned to see those golden eyes in the distance.Standing behind Alexis, all the other boys looked at each other in confusion, as no one understood why they were making that unnecessary slightly dramatic pause. And deciding to hurry the matter along, Nikolai broke formation and approached his cousin, looking at his puzzled and somewhat lost face."Alex?" Nikolai asked, feeling somewhat concerned about his cousin's attitude, "Come on, move forward, you're slowing us down..."Like a distant echo, Alexis could hear his cousin's words. But he couldn't remember where he was, much less who he was... His mind was somewhere else. Never in his whole life had he had a feeling like that, something so... Intense. For a moment, he felt stunned by the pheromones he could feel coming
