I was confused at first, but I'm thankful at the same time for what Ezra did. Even if it was Dwight, I don't want anyone to touch my face without permission. And I don't think I would let anyone touch me even if they ask for permission. Although I don't understand Ezra's purpose for doing that.    Dwight laughed. "What was that for?" As he stared at Ezra's face, which looked like it was about to explode.    "N-Nothing. Let's just finish this."    Ezra averted his gaze and continued cooking our food. The more I watched them, I couldn't help but think that I was thankful for having them in our class since we could eat something delicious. I could already smell the fragrant scent coming from the kitchen.   

I gulped after seeing a silhouette on the curtain covering the bed where I was sitting on. It wasn't a silhouette of a woman, but instead, it belonged to a man. And a very tall man, that is. A-A s-serial killer?    I know that serial killers would target school trips to go on a killing spree when they're bored, but I didn't expect to experience it firsthand.    My heartbeat was getting faster and louder, and I could hear something ringing inside my ears. What if it's a ghost? A ghost that's been haunting this infirmary since the day he died? Maybe he's a student that also had his own school trip here but died.    I gulped as I could feel how cold my hands had become. 

I tilted my head. Why is Ezra stuttering? "Yeah. He's my only friend."  Ezra sighed out of relief which I couldn't understand. What was that for? "Is that so? I could be your friend too." We arrived in front of our room, and he opened the door for me after he said that.  "Can I also be your friend?" He asked as we got inside.  I stared at him. Even though it was dark, I could still catch a glimpse of his face. I'm trying to figure out if he's serious with what he's saying.  Why would he want to become friends with me though? It's not like I'm someone important or anything like

I chuckled. I'm slowly getting used to Ezra's presence. "Mitch was the one who suggested to play a game in the first place."  "Mitch chose to leave you here? That's super rare."  It's not like Mitch should stay by my side all the time. He has his own life to enjoy. "It's good that he's having fun. Mitch's been waiting for this trip with pure excitement and cheers. That's why he's disappointed because of the rain."  Ezra nodded as he sat beside me on my bed. "Then what about you? What do you want to do?"  I shrugged. What can we do in this weather and this condition? "It's not about what I want to do. There's nothing I can do in this condition. I could only sit here and stare at not

"Alexis?"   I grunt as I hear Lean calling for my name again. What's her problem this time? She always disturbs my sleep as if it's the most normal thing she can do.    "Alexis, we're here."   I opened my eyes upon realizing that it wasn't Lean's voice. I felt the embarrassment seeping into my body after realizing that I had fallen asleep on Ezra's shoulder, and he was the one calling my name.    Wait, did I drool on him? I immediately wiped the corner of my mouth and was relieved after noticing that there wasn't a drool there. Thank goodness.
