The ghostly echo of a man’s mournful scream jolted Mj awake as the thumping sound of bass surrounded the inside of the SUV she had fallen asleep in, “do you even sleep in a bed anymore, or do you just wait until we are on the road?” The melody of Jay’s voice cut through the pounding in Mj’s head and without opening her eyes, she swung the back of her hand until it landed on its intended target. As Mj sat silently perched on the top of Casper’s large and severely muscular thigh, she listened to him and his friends drone on about drinks and drugs and how much money you could stuff up she-wolfs g-string just hoping for a sliver of information that might be useful and not make this entire night a waste of time. Mj shifted softly on his lap as she began to scan the other lounges she could see and caught sight of a familiar wild set of short dreads as Moxie and Jay ducked into one of the booth’s. Mj tried not to roll her eyes as she thought about what it must have taken for the Commander to get back here after she fought so hard to prove to him that she was ready to be a hunter, she could take care of herself.
