  Mister woke up naked and covered in blood and sweat. He was laying just off of the back trail in the dead sun and his chest hurt so badly that it was hard for him to breathe. He rolled over and tried to sit up but his head was pounding as well. He felt weak and he was extremely confused. He rubbed his temples and tried to clear his head.   He was so hungry and dehydrated that he felt like he was going to puke. It was a good thing that the doctor had sent people looking for him, because he didn't think he was going to make it much longer, when he heard them coming towards him. He was actually kind of pissed off that it had taken them as long as it had. He managed to sit up long enough to half ass throw a stick to get their attention. Lucky for him that was just enough to do the trick.    "Over here!" Mister heard one of his men shout back to the others.   Becky was so angry inside. She just didn't understand why her life had to be so hard all of the time. She didn't see why her mother had to die or why she was basically hidden away after she had survived. She just couldn't wrap her mind around any of it, especially the part that made her such a dirty little family secret.    "Calm down my child," the queen said to her as she stretched her hand out to take Becky's hand in hers. Becky didn't respond to her great grandmother. Instead she roared a painful and hollow cry and she flew against the window as hard as she could in an effort to fly away from the painful scene in front of her, but the windows had all been reinforced somehow to prevent this sort of thing with the genetically altered animals.   She hit the window with so much force that it bounced her off of the glass and she flew completely across the lab, and she bounced off of the opposite wall as well.   The doctor had somehow managed to get enough blood from the dragon to bring Mister back around, even though the nurse had a horrible incident with it during the effort. She lost a finger but she was going to be fine otherwise. Justin was just stressed, hung over, and fatigued. He had been treated and sent back to his rooms at the castle to rest for a while, and Pearl was resting and healing nicely in the lab, waiting for the medical team to arrive and move her and Mister to the hospital wing.    The doctor was absolutely wiped out and he was more than ready for a drink. He checked on everyone and then he excused himself. He went straight to his office and he filled a glass with brandy as fast as he could. He took a long slow sip of his drink as he loosened his tie and sat down heavily in his favorite chair. They talked a little here and there but they were also well aware of the fact that they could be seen and heard by the enemy, so they were very careful when they did talk.
