Mrs Amy was as usual, busy in the kitchen making dinner when Kelvin rushed down into the kitchen, cheerful. Mrs Amy glanced at his face and smiled, turning back to her chores."Oh, you're here. Mrs Amy sat on the sofa with teary eyes as she gazed down at her son who laid on the sofa with his head resting on her laps. She gently caressed his hair while she kept humming softly to him, looking all devastated and depressed. Her mind racing in space. It's been almost an hour without any news of her daughter's whereabout. A tear dropped down her eyes, she sniffed and swiftly wiped it off with her hand. After realizing Kelvin was fast asleep, she took a quick glance at her phone next to her if she had missed any call but still had none. She gently adjusted Kelvin's head on one of the pillows on the sofa and stood up as quite as she could, not waking him up. She sighed, glanced at Laura's picture on the table and trod off to the kitchen to get some water. Just then, her phone rang. She hurriedly rushed and picked it up; it was Mya."Mya? what's going on?Have you found her?", she stuttered but trembled at the sobering tone over the phone. "What is it, Mya? Talk please"

It's been a week without Laura and to this effect not an easy one for the Roberts' family and Laura's friends especially Alixes who held her dying friend in her arms to the hospital. She had been traumatized after witnessing such brutal site and had since been under a psychological therapy to help calm her. Investigations to help bring the culprits to book also proved futile. Everyone was made to believe she committed suicide out of frustration; this bugged Mya's mind."Why will Laura do such a thing? ", she wondered gazing at her sister's picture on the wall in her room. "We always share our problems and frustrations together so if something is going on with her why couldn't she tell me? And come to think of it, she's not someone who runs away from her problems .Something is not right, there is more to this which I need to find out. Amy slowly drew the phone from her ear, all depressed and frustrated with heavy heart. She scoffed, involuntarily blinking her eyes as tears strolled down her cheeks. Her gaze fell on Laura's picture on the wall_with a morose look, she drifted closer.  A faint, sorrowful smile dazzled on her face as she gently brushed her hand over the frame. "(sniffs with tears in her eyes)Nothing had ever been the same with your absence, Laura, my baby.
