2 Asher

My cup smashed to the floor as coffee poured everywhere as I shot back as fast as I could until my back hit the fridge. The door swung open so hard that all the glass shattered against the wall. He stood at my door, a tall man with dark hair and piercing brown eyes. A long black leather coat billowing at his ankles from the harsh winds.   “Oops I didn’t mean to open it that hard.” He said    “What do you want” I managed to stutter.   “Keira, we have something very important to talk about, but right now is not that time and this is definitely not the right place, we need to go somewhere safe now”.

3 Where am I?

I opened my eyes and I was in someone’s bedroom. Red wallpaper with flowers decorated the walls and a low light shone through the room. The bed was huge with a canopy above the bed. I sit up and brush the hair out of my face. Everything that happened yesterday came back to me. I take a deep breath and wonder what is going to happen next.     I grab my bag that has been left at the side of the bed and take out my hairbrush. Thanks to Ashers running my hair is a mess, I take my time brushing my long brown hair (wishing for once that it was a lot shorter), while trying to clear my head. I then dare to make my way out of the room, I go down a narrow corridor that leads to the top of a grand staircase. I slowly go down the steps listening out to hear if anyone is there.

4 What is next?

Keira was stunned, she didn’t know what to say.  “So do you believe the prophecy is about you? And how much everyone need you to fulfill it?” Asher questioned.   “It is a lot to process, just give me a minute to take it all in”.  An hour had passed in complete silence Asher thought Keria had frozen, she hadn’t moved or even blinked. As the sun rose it shone through the crack in the curtains. I watched as the dust motes danced in the light. The past few hours seemed to last forever, it had only been four hours since Asher turned up at my house and yet so much had happened and my life would no longer be the same again.  How was I supposed to get my head around the fact that I was meant to inherit all these powers? How would I be able to control them all? At the age of twenty I didn’t expect my life to be turning out like this.

5 The Elves

We were surrounded by men and women of all different ages all carrying spears, axes, swords and bow and arrows all pointing straight at us.   Asher spoke loudly and clearly. “ We are here to speak to your Lord Keltris. I bring Keira Kennedy, she is the one the prophecy speaks of. We have come for the transfer and the guidance of your people and I ask that you let us through.”    The group started mumbling and whispering between themselves. A loud booming voice then echoed through the tree’s.   “I am Prince Folen Keltris , I will escort you to my father Lord Folas Keltris .” “Let them through”.  The elves instantly went silent and split straight down the middle instantly.  A tall elf with long blond hair down to his waist, sharp blue eyes that were so bright that you could see t

6 More truths

I felt a hand land on my shoulder, but I couldn’t get enough composure together to shake it off or to find out who had put it there.  “Keira, do not fear I am ready to do this for my people as well as everyone else. I do not fear it. I embrace it knowing that I will be one of the reasons that you can rid this world of the monstrosities that are plaguing our world.” Prince Folen spoke calmly  “How can I take them from you knowing that I will take your life to do so? If that is the sacrifice that these powers require then how can they possibly do any good when the first act is evil?” “I do not know the answer to those questions, all I know is that, that is what is required it is not the act of death that is needed to pass the powers over, but once the power has left the body, the body can not survive the loss.” “ But why does it have to be you? 7 First sacrifice

I woke up as the sun shone through the very thin curtains, glad that with the day I had ahead of me that I didn't have a nightmare last night. To say that I was more than nervouse was a major understatement. I was scared of what I was having to do. I also felt bad because no matter how bad I was feeling Prince Folen must be feeling worse knowing that as soon as dark came and Asher could be there that the ceremony would start, so he only had about seven hours left to live.I made my way out of the bed and got ready. I didn't need to wear anything special for the ceremony so I just put on some of my favourite Blue skinny jeans, my green vest top and a green cardigan. I brushed my hair into a long ponytail at the top of my head and put on my favourite knee length boots.I came out of my bedroom and thought I would sgtart to have a little look around before finding if there was any food around. I came out of the big wooden doors and looked around in t

8 Learning my powers

A few days had passed since the sacrifice had happened and I felt no different, now everyone was starting to get annoyed not at me but just at that nothing seemed to be happening. Prince Arizer still wouldn't look me in the eyes. Asher was getting more and more impatient wondering if there was something that could trigger it. Prince Arizer was asking loads of questions to see if I had better balance or if I could use a sword etc but the answer was always the same no. I kept finding ways to escape all of them asking me questions all the time and kept following that little path to the water. I always thought I was alone until tonight when Prince Arizer came out of the tree's. "Why do you keep coming here every day Keira?""I thought I was alone and it gives me time to think and try work out things in my head." "No you have not been alone since you entered our lives. My brother did his part and now it's my turn to do my part and to

9 Run

Well after two weeks of more training and practicing it was safe to say I know what powers I do and don't have now.  I have better agility and I'm ok with a sword. I am amazing with a bow and arrow.  We are still doing hand to hand combat but I'm good at that too. I am told I didn't get some of the powers that I could have but during a war wouldn't have helped much anyway. I didn't get the power to help nature so for plants and trees to grow or what they class as the elf beauty. Asher has been helping out when he can on a night but most of the time it is just me and Arizer.  I like been around Arizer, he makes me train hard. He has started coming around to me more and seems to be letting me off for everything with his brother knowing it wasn't by choice.  He makes me laugh and we have good banter between us. I get butterflies in my belly when I know I'm going to be seeing him.  Me and Arizer were doing some more hand t

10 What now

I woke up when Arizer came out of the bathroom, well my eyes opened slightly until I saw him in just a towel wrapped around his waist then I was fully awake. His arms were just pure muscle and a tattoo that ran over his right shoulder and down to his chest, his chest was hard and so smooth looking I let my eyes drop down to see his 6 pack. He had the best body I have ever seen in person. When his eyes looked at me he no doubt would have seen me looking like a dork and drooling over him. He flashed me a cocky grin and grabbed his bag and walked back into the bathroom where I saw a giant tattoo that covered his back, I don't know quite what it was it looked to me like different symbols all put together to make one big tattoo. I laid in bed thinking how on earth can I be attracted to Arizer? he is an arse. He came back out the bathroom this time he was clothed but didn't have his armour on. He grabbed the spare pillows off the top of the wardrobe and
