Foolish heart

"Well, you cannot date her even if you want to,"Nike said calmly with a smile."Why not????""Cause she's mine---""She's not your wife yet! So it's inappropriate for you to call her yours."Unable to stop herself, Audrey butted in again before she could even stop herself. This time, she directly opposes Nike's words."How do you know that we are about to get married???? I haven't mentioned that part yet??""??????" Audrey"Err... I--I-- h-heard it from Niccoli! Yes, h--he told me about it b-be--before."Audrey said while stuttering. She had a sudden slip of a tongue at that split moment and so she had no choice but to made up an on the spot lie.Pushing the blame under Niccoli's name."Me??? I told you about it????"Niccoli was obviously stunned when he heard Andrew shifting the blame to him. To be honest, he doesn't have any recollection of talking to Andrew anything about it.

Old Friend

The group continued to chat on their way. To avoid getting too much attention, they already instructed their spiritual beast to put them down somewhere outside the city's entrance. Then from there, they made their way towards the royal palace on foot. As such, they were having a casual chat while enjoying the walk.Since they had come a long way from Iridos back to their homeland which is the Kingdom of Corona, the two young princes wish to pay their family a visit. After all, it has been a long time now since they last saw them. While they have no intention to reveal their true intention of going back to the Kingdom of Corona, they also don't find the need to hide the truth that they indeed went back to their home town.Besides, it would be more troublesome for them if someone familiar with their identity managed to saw their faces here despite not reporting their presence. They would look more suspicious if that happens. So rather than risking being fou

Since Audrey is not yet too familiar with the place, she just went on the places that she previously have been. Just like on the hillside. A little isolated place among the palace grounds, where she and Niccoli first met. Or rather had their first fight. This is where they both came tumbling down to the foot of the hill. All the hair tugging as well as the head-butting incident happened at this very same place.Audrey smiled as she recalled those silly things that she had done when she was just green and unfamiliar to this world. She even dare hit a prince! What a bold lady she was.But thinking about it, Audrey believed that even if it is in the present, she still will not think twice about hitting Niccoli. If he deserved to be hit, even if he were a prince she will still give him a good beating.Staying with Nike ad Niccoli in the same room for almost have a year made her forget that they were actually of noble standings.Their casu

Reminisce

After cloud watching with Niccoli, Audrey descended down the hill. Looking around her, she realized that she was walking down the path that leads to the place where Nike almost confessed his feelings to her.Well, recalling that situation indeed make her blush. But not because of anything romantic but more because of shame!!!!!Thinking back at that suppose romantic night with Nike that ended up to be a total epic fail, Audrey almost wanted the ground to swallow her.The place and atmosphere were almost perfect. An ideal romantic setting that is commonly portrayed in the books.Even the pale glow of the moon is there to complete the scene. In fact, even the thousand brilliant diamonds in the sky were also present at that time. But before Nike could even confess his love, her stupid digestive system gets on the way!!!!!Who could be more unlucky than her when it comes to romance???Why in the freaking earth of all the tim

The friend of that friend who is a friend of mine

On the flip side, complete unaware of how her very presence alone could affect Jace, Audrey continued to make her way towards him. Consequently, when Jace saw Andrew going to his direction, the tumult deep inside him tighten its grip over his heart.Over the course of these past few days, he had been troubled by his own confusion and emotion. He deeply wanted to shut those things away, but he realized that it was really hard to hide on yourself. He wanted to vent those frustrations heaping up at him but he just can't find a release. He wanted something like a bridge that could provide him a place away from all these drama and confusion. But who would have thought that the one who could give him a bridge over troubled water was the same man who brought him all these confusions? What a timing."Jace, is there something troubling you recently???? Well dude, you know I'm always here for you. Don't you? You can always c

"Okay, my bad. It is not you. It does not have anything to with you at all. It is all about your friend. So as I'm saying if someone confessed to YOUR friend. Your friend should just accept it. Then your friend just had to explain to the other party which happened to be another friend of yours what their situation is."Audrey purposely emphasized the word 'friend' every time she used it. Although Jace realized that Andrew (Audrey) was making fun of him, his curiosity still gets the better of him. So he continued asking."What situation??? Explain what??"Well, for example, If I think that there is a chance between us. Then I'll tell her that we can give it a try. Well, that would be the best result. But if ever I don't think that there is any chance between us at all. Then I should still accept her confession to make her feel at ease. But at the same time, I will explain to her that it is impossible between us."'If Nike did it just like tha

Just helping 'em clean

As soon as Audrey opened the door to her room, an imposing black cat who was currently sitting at her bed greeted her. [Where have you been at this time of the night???]If not because of the black tail that was languidly swishing and flicking behind him, Nero could easily pass off for the character of a granny old man who was scolding his naughty grandchild for going home late at night.Aside from that, since this cat of hers is not something ordinary, it can also sit with its hind legs and cross two of his arms across his chess. So imagine how imposing Nero was right now, while he was acting like a grown-up man. He was even playing with his whiskers as he eyes his master questioningly."I just had a casual stroll outside and had lost track of time. Why is there anything that happened here while I was away???"[None, at all. I just did not expect that you won't be here to welcome me when I arrived.]"Welco

The secrets of Corona

Knock! Knock! On the next morning, Audrey was woken up by the soft knocking that was coming from her door. As soon as she realized that it was her friends waiting for her outside, she immediately sat up. While she was stretching her back to relieve the stiffness in her body due to sleeping she is also walking towards the door. However, just as when she was about to open the door, she heard Allan's voice on the other side calling for her."Andrew????""Comiiiiingggg"She answered back while yawning. The sun has not yet to fully ascend to the sky when Nike and the rest of Audrey's friends decided to start the day. In fact, the dawn chorus hasn't finished their first song yet when the group went on to knock at Audrey's door. Even the early rays of the morning sun had just barely filtered into the room through the capiz windowpane when Audrey woke up. Opening the door, Audrey tried to rub away the sleepiness remaining in her eyes

Kind of cliche

"Twenty years ago, there were a total of three major occurrences that happened in our kingdom but I believe that only one of them could possibly lead us to the news of the apprentice necromancer that appears on our kingdom."Nike started as he looked at each of his friends to make sure that their attention was on him. Before he proceeded on reporting everything that he managed to uncover so far."One of those major occurrences happened 18 years ago. This strange phenomenon was recorded in our library but most of the accounts of what happened that day were taken somewhere else. Nevertheless, I still managed to learn some of it.It was said that on the 23rd day the first quarter of that year, the sun dimmed and engulfed the sky with darkness. The entire kingdom was plunged into darkness even though it was clear daybreak that time.""It sounds like there was a solar eclipse that time..."Audrey thought to herself. But of course, she did

Hear some tea

"Ohh.. so the apprentice necromancer followed them here to your kingdom to chase after his runaway bride?? Is that what happened next??"Steve said as he tried to continue the story narrated by Nike."Yes, it eventually ended that way. The apprentice necromancer caught wind of the news that the love of his life elopes with another man and fled to the Kingdom of Corona to start their own love story. So he followed them down here. But that it was only after a couple of years since they elope that the apprentice necromancer learned of their whereabouts.""Ohhh... that is really tragic for the apprentice necromancer. He was already condemned to live his life in seclusion because of his identity and involvement in the forgotten practice of necromancy. Yet even the girl that she trusts and loved te most betrays him and left him for another man."Audrey can somehow feel the pain and sorrow that the apprentice necromancer had felt that time. H
