The wind was blowing so cold, rain had been pouring down for hours which made it darker than usual. Cathy said goodbye to the kids, and waited for the parents to pick them up. It had been a month and a half since she started the part time job in the preschool, and it had gotten a bit difficult as she had been pregnant for almost three weeks. She waited for about an hour, and when they were all picked up, she decided to go home. Luke Martin woke up to a banging on his prison cell. "What the hell!" he shouted as he fell off the bed. "You got a visitor, Martin," the guard shouted as he unlocked the door and stayed outside. Luke fixed himself and changed his clothes. It had been more than a month since he was detained due to the attack on Jennifer Mills at Noughton's. In a few minutes, he went out to the visiting area and sat on one of the chairs of a long table. He was able to look at the woman whom the jail guard was talking to. It was afternoon, the sun was about to set later than usual. Her mobile phone rang. Cathy picked it up from her table and answered the call. "Hey dad," she said. Evan Mills wanted to pick her up and take her home. They were able to discuss a few things the last time they spoke, and Cathy somehow understood why her father opted to leave their family after he had explained his side of the story. Evan answered, "Hi sweetie, would you mind if I pick you up?" Cathy took a few steps to peek through the window, and whispered, "He's still there." Her father was confused, "What was it dear?" she quickly replied, "Oh, it's Alex. He keeps on waiting on me. I'd come to work and go home, he would still be waiting outside." she started to be afraid that she instructed the security guard to allow her to wait for her father. When he got there, Cathy immediately went to him and got into his car.
