Darren opened his eyes and groaned in pain as he felt chains on his arms and legs. He was in his room, so he wondered who would chain him. He closed his eyes and he saw himself as a vampire hunting down Sharlynn and his eyes flew open again as realization hit him, he tried to kill Sharlynn right after killing countless numbers of young women and piling them in a heap.He heard footsteps and looked in the direction of his door that was flung by his sister's clumsy magic. " Meredith, unchain me right now!" He said angrily but she jolted from him. Her action made him remember what he did to her the previous night, he knocked her to the ground and tried to feed on her until she cast a spell on him - not just any spell - one that was meant to kill him!If she hadn't been his family, he would've died! Later that night after Sharlynn's mom came back from the hospital where she'd been working, Sharlynn thought about how she would tell her mom that she was going to a party. After thinking long and hard about it, she decided she would just dress up for the party, and then when her mom sees how psyched she is to attend the party she would let her go. The thought of opening her closet made her unhappy because her clothes weren't much anymore. Just the ones her parents were able to save from the fire were on her bed and she felt weird putting very few clothes in the closet because it looked three times larger than her old one. It would only make her lack of clothes more obvious. " What am I going to do now?" She said as she sat on her bed and covered her face in her palms. Darren had the best night of his life while he was with Sharlynn, they spent the whole night talking, kissing, and cuddling but even though he wanted more, he didn't want to rush her. With the way they couldn't seem to get enough of each other Darren wasn't sure if they would even sleep at all, but when Sharlynn finally slept he followed suit and had a good night's sleep for the first time in fifty years. He usually had nightmares about his five-year-old self being torn from his mother and condemned to death by burning and when he woke up from such nightmares, he would be so uncomfortable. Today was however different. They all stood in front of a cave whose location Darren uncovered by an exposure spell. Darren knew this route very well and never saw anything like a cave there but for some reason, he could sense Sharlynn at that exact location so he knew something was up.  " Wow, who would've known!"
