Date Night (2)

Jason was driving towards a lake which was situated near a park in the outskirts of the city. Alya was curious to know more about the date but he was keeping it a surprise for her. So she turned to observe the night lights of the city. Various shades of colors reflected in her eyes as they passed by the tall buildings and crowded streets. She leaned against the window, ogling at the scene outside. Her heart was fluttering to see the colorful shops and busy streets, itching to go out. Jason noticed her restlessness and sighed. “What do you want to do?” he asked. “Spill it out.” “Umm...can we walk on the street for a while?” Alya asked, feeling sheepish. “Only for a few minute

Date Night (3)

Jason stopped the car in front of a park around the lake. They got out of the car and walked towards the entrance where a ticket counter was providing entry passes into the park. There was some kind of event going on in there and the tickets were sold to couples only for the night. Jason bought a couple of tickets for them. “What’s going on?” Alya asked, curious about the people who had gathered there. Most of the people seemed to be couples and each pair were carrying a small lantern with a butterfly design on it.  “It’s called the Night of the Butterflies,” Jason explained. He was also carrying a lantern in his hands. “Night of the Butterflies?” Alya asked. They were strolling through the mystical park, surrounded by a g

Date Night (4)

He swooped in to kiss her, taking her by surprise. Alya’s eyes widened when Jason slowly puckered his lips against hers. His musky scent was hypnotizing her and after the initial surprise, she closed her eyes to follow his movements and kissed him back.  Their soft lips caressed each other and a strange heat was rising within them. Jason was now devouring her, his kiss turning more urgent. Alya felt his tongue tasting her, making her open her mouth to mesh their tongues together in a passionate frenzy. Her hands were clutching his hair, holding him close while their mouths were busy exploring each other.  The lantern filled sky was beginning to fade but they did not notice. Jason had hoisted Alya on his lap without breaking the kiss. She gasped for breath and moaned when he slightly bit her lower lip, grazing the soft

Hugging Him

When Jason and Alya returned home, they found Alina sleeping on the couch. The television was still turned on so the child must have fallen asleep while watching cartoons.   “Why didn’t Yang tuck her in bed yet?” Jason frowned. But Alya patted the girl’s head and kissed her forehead.   “I think it’s because she looks very peaceful in her sleep,” she said, pointing at how happy Alina looked whilst sleeping. It had been almost two months since Alina came to live with Jason and she had slowly gotten used to her new life. Jason could not help but notice that Alina seemed to be more cheerful and lively lately, which was a huge improvement over the quiet and moody girl who had arrived months ago.   “I’ll take her upstairs,” he said.

A Little Taste

In a far off country, a ship was strolling through the sea. The air was biting cold while the water was icy. The cold wind hit the ship and an eerie silence engulfed the whole place.  There were only a handful of people on the large ship. It was not for passengers but a private ship built for only research purposes. The crew were on the lower deck, busy working on the ship. Their big boss was on the upper deck and they were all nervous. “How long will this expedition last?” one of the sailors asked. “I don’t know!” his partner muttered. “The boss is looking for something and is desperate to find it. He switched off all his phones and cut off contacts because he’s obsessed with this thing he’s trying to find.”

No Love Lost

A slow jazz music was resonating throughout the private parlor of the restaurant. A couple was dining there alone with complete privacy. It was a traditional French restaurant, the decor being a mix of blue, white and red colors. Fresh scent of casserole, croissant and souffle floated in the air while a mini fountain was splattering water in a corner while reflecting yellow and green lights.   The romantic ambience was amplified with pink and orange flowers which were placed on the table where the couple dined. The lights were off and instead, several red candles stood in random places for the couple to enjoy a romantic candle light dinner. Everything was perfectly set up for them to fuel their young love.   However, there was no love lost between Jenna and Cain.   They sat

Separate Paths

Cain was in his office, looking over the latest investment files. His brows were furrowed in worry as he looked at some of the financial records of the shareholders. There were some indiscrepancies in them which worried him. Picking up his phone, he dialed the number of Ben Chang, his finance manager. “Yes sir,” Ben greeted. “How may I help you?” “Ben, tell me about these miscellaneous expenses which have been drawn out every month from the company’s accounts for the past three years,” Cain ordered.  He heard his finance manager shuffle before the latter replied, “These amounts were drawn out by your mother, sir.” Cain raised an eyebrow. Dahlia had been with

Cain's Generosity

Alya and Jason were waiting in Oskar Jung’s office. Jason noted that Alya was fidgeting a little. “What happened?” he asked. “I’m a little nervous,” she admitted. “I made the changes in the designs as he asked but what if he doesn’t like them?” “Show them to me,” Jason said. She handed him a file with her designs and he flipped through it. Truthfully, Alya’s designs were great and had the potential to be the next fashion trend. Oskar Jung made a few modifications on her initial sketches but it was not a critique. Instead, the changes he made were totally in sync with Alya’s individual style, only increasing the comfort in the clothes which she wanted to create for the fashion show.&n

A Crime He Witnessed

“Hmm,” Malorie said thoughtfully. “He warned you about Jenna?” “Yes!” Alya exclaimed. “Cain told me to be careful of her. It came out of nowhere! Why would he be nice to me?” They were at a cafe which was not far from Alya’s office. Malorie told her to meet her there for lunch so that Alya could fill her in on what Cain told her. “This is worrying,” Malorie muttered. “If Cain warned you then it means she’s up to something. You should be careful. Don’t go anywhere alone!” I wouldn’t worry about that, Alya said in her head. Aloud she said, “Don’t worry about me. I’ll be careful. But Cain saying this is rea
