The night came fast, the sky turned indigo before we knew it. Most of the people have returned home and are ready to settle down for a relaxing alone time, but not the people in Coney Island. Our night has just begun when we arrive. The neon lights stain the clouds in vivid colors, layers of carnival music blast across the borderless sky. There are crowds here and there on a weekend night like this——children, teenagers, adults, family, couples, friends. Some are queuing up for rides, some just got off of them trying to take photographs at the side; some getting hot dogs, popcorns, cotton candies from vendors, some trying to get the major prizes

At the top, an enormous skeletal dragon sits on the roof of the castle in haught, glaring down at the bitty humans who walk on the ground; at the bottom, a skeleton with red glowing eyes turns his skull from right to left while he moves his jaw greeting his kind who are still in fleshes when they walk by. “Welcome to Spook-a-Rama!” a staff at the entrance greets us when he sees us. I collect Marie from the pet hotel right away after we return to the hotel building. We had fun, and we had a teary moment too, we’re both exhausted. I watch Daniella return to her room before Marie and I return to ours. After I feed Marie with her meal and switch the smart cat toy for her, I undress myself and put myself to bath.  Hot steam surges up, warmth blows against my face. I walk into the shower and close my eyes. The water drops on my head and flows down my body following the line of my muscles. “Hah...” I open my eyes again when I brush my short brunette hair to the back. Deeply, I exhale. 

As the dark paints the sky black, I arrive at the Grand Nouvelle Hotel, where Jamie is staying. As I know Jamie till now, he is a very punctual person. In order to impress him, I arrived fifteen minutes earlier than the time we agreed on. While I’m sitting inside this luxurious car waiting for him, I look into the rear mirror to ensure that the mole under the tail of my left eyebrow has been completely covered under the concealer I applied on it. I am perfect. We’ve been quite a long way down this road, yet Jamie never once suspected me to be Henrietta. After we have the dinner, I send Jamie back to the Grand Nouvelle Hotel where he stays.
