Ansel had been watching Elisa, and he knew she wasn't going to stay calm. He needed to do something before she broke down and did something she regretted. "Of course, you may take your woman. Sorry about separating you two for so long," Michael had said. He had a smug smile on his face. Ansel wanted nothing more than to beat him to death, but he controlled his anger. He needed to remain calm and calculated for Elisa's sake. Michael walked away, leaving Ansel and Elisa alone on the dance floor. Ansel pulled her closer and swayed with the music while she kept her arms wrapped around his neck. "Are you okay?" he whispered. He held her against his chest. "No," Elisa said and rested her head on his shoulder. He felt her trembling slightly, and his chest tightened. He never felt like this about a woman before. He thought he was madly in love with Jessica, but as the time passed by after she left, he was able to erase all of his feelings toward her.
