"Where do you keep clean towels?" asked Alarick.June could only point to the drawers she put in front of the bathroom. Alarick carried the basin filled with ice cubes as he headed for the drawer June had pointed to. He took a clean towel wide enough and slung it over his broad shoulders. He walked over to June, making June unconsciously inch over to the corner of the sofa. Seeing that, Alarick chuckled while crouching down in front of June. He didn't look dangerous at all now.Alarick took June's swollen leg and began to compress it with ice cubes. June winced because the cold made her legs ache a little."Where do you keep the knife?" asked Alarick with a smile."Knife? What for?" June asked as she frantically tried to pull back her leg.

"You won't believe it if I tell you," replied Alarick."Just try it!" June exclaimed, widened her eyes.Alarick let out a short breath. Like it or not, he had to start explaining to June.“Those are the arrows of the elves. There are various types of elves that are still alive in modern times. But this one is definitely not a kind-hearted one,” replied Alarick.“Elves? So now the elves want to catch me?" June asked, leaning on her waist.“Either catch you or kill you right away. What is clear, they can not do it as long as there is me," replied Alarick."Then what are you? Some kind of vampire?" June asked, snorting and half laughing derisively.

“I'm ready to go to work,” June said, ignoring Drake's difficult gaze."Very well," Drake replied, standing up.He then motioned for June to walk ahead of him to the exit. Drake didn't say anything until they were in Drake's car heading to the office. June pretended not to know, even though she could sense something odd about Drake. His demeanor was silent, but his eyes were investigating, who knows what he really thought. June thought maybe Drake was still angry after June accidentally spattered water to his face. June was silent too, trying to act as if nothing had happened.The trip to work was the loneliest trip June had ever had. Drake didn't even turn on the music to break the silence. June woke up because her stomach felt very hungry. Her body felt very weak and her head was dizzy. She had almost forgotten what had just happened, but when she opened her eyes, June just remembered what had just happened.
