Abigail didn’t go back to dine again. She came out of the restaurant. On the way out, she called Lilian and informed her, “Lilian, I am going home.”“What? Why? You…” Lilian, on the other end, became anxious. She didn’t want to be alone with Victor, but Abigail left her with him. She was kind of upset. She wanted to curse her, but Abigail didn’t give her time to finish the sentence, “I am not feeling well. I am sorry.” With that, the call ended.Shocked and puzzled, Lilian looked at the screen with her mouth wide open. She gradually closed her mouth and gritted her teeth in fury. Victor was worried to see her infuriated look. He asked, “What happened? Where is your cousin?”

The next morning Abigail woke up with a splitting headache. She groaned, holding her head. Her eyes shut tight, and her eyebrows pulled together. Then she recalled going to a bar last night and getting drunk. But she remembered nothing after that. How did she come back to the villa? She immediately opened her eyes the moment this question emerged in her mind. But she gasped in shock to see an unfamiliar room.‘Where am I?’She wondered and looked around the room. The room was extremely big… bigger than her room. It was lavishly decorated with expensive furniture and decorative items. But she was not in the state to look around the room. Her mind went blank, and an unknown fear struck her heart.‘How did I end up here? Who brought me here?’ 

“What? Why are you silent? Say something about him. I can’t wait anymore.”Lilian became impatient and poked her arm.“What do you want to know?” Abigail pulled her hands back and turned around. She pouted and said, “I don’t know anything about him.”“You don’t know anything!” Lilian was surprised. She walked around and stood in front of her. “How could that be?” She looked at her skeptically. “You stayed with him the whole night, and you know nothing about him. Didn’t you find out if he is Charles or not?”“No… He is not. He can’t be Charles. My Charles is not so shameless as he is. He is a hooligan, trickster…”

A couple of weeks passed in a blink. During this time, Alphacom which was now under Pinnacles snatched the biggest client of Vision Networks. This client worked with Vision Networks for a decade, but this time they didn’t renew the contract with them. This created a huge uproar at the upper level of Vision Networks. The stock price of the company dropped to its lowest level. The other clients also began to rethink whether to continue working with them or not. Robert Mills called an urgent meeting of the board members. Everyone was arguing in the conference hall, putting blames on each other. Robert Mills felt a headache to see the mess in front of him. He rubbed his forehead, looking contemptuously at the people shouting at each other. His resentment increased with every passing second. Eventually, he couldn’t suppress his annoyance and slammed his hand on the conference table.

“Charles… I am sorry…”She whispered, clutching the pendant firmly into her palm. Tears trickled down her cheeks.“Why are you crying sitting here?”A familiar cold voice rang from the top of her head. She looked up instantaneously at the source of the voice, only to see a tall figure, looming on her. He wore a full sleeves black hooded t-shirt with a pair of black formal pants.It’s him again! Why did it have to be him?She stopped crying the moment her eyes landed on him. Her expression showed displeasure. She pulled back her gaze and stuffed the necklace in her purse. She was about to get up, but he pressed her down on her shoulder and sat next to her.
