Luca woke the next morning and found himself in Emma's room. He is still supporting his back on the headboard, but Emma somehow slides down a little in her sleep. Now her head is on his bare chest and her arms are holding him around his waist. He looked at the time and noticed, he woke up later than usual. Now it's 7.30 and he usually wakes up at 6 am. He looked at her sleeping face. She is looking much cuter than usual. She is snuggling to his side, just like the kitten he calls her.Luca smiled at this.He knows she has to go to her college. Her classes will start from today. So he tried to wake her up."Kitten, wake up" he softly patted her cheek.Emma is still sleepy. She was awake until the early hours talking to him. She did not remember when she slept."5 minutes Luca. I am sleepy" she mumbled sleepily. He smiled at her in amusement. So he let her sleep for a little longer. He texted Marco to find out whe

Emma looked around the college campus and at the students happily smiling and laughing with each other. This is their normal life, a normal routine.Emma looked at the two imposing shadows following behind Lizzy and her. 'This is my normal life. I can never be carefree like the other students. Once you are born into this world, you die in this world. There is no going away from this' Emma thought bitterly. She always noticed Amber, her elder step-sister partying and laughing with her friends. She always felt like, it's a privilege to be born into this life.Emma never understood the appeal. She craved a normal life, just like these people around her.She thought about the boy, who sat beside her. Emma understood he must have liked her. If she was anyone but herself, she would have peeked at him now and then, just like he kept looking at her.But she is Emma coste. No, Emma Vitiello. That boy has no place in her life. It's not fair for

Like he promised Emma, Luca toned down his dressing to jeans and a t-shirt. He wore a duplicate mustache, which made Emma laugh until her stomach hurts."You look ridiculous" Emma pointed out after she stopped laughing long enough to tell him that.Luca turned his head towards her and shook his head. They are walking down the stairs in Liquid tonic, to go to the carnival."Really?" he asked with an amused expression.Hiding his true face is what Luca does best. No one apart from a few trusted members in Liquid Tonic only knows, how he looked. Even Tasha saw his face, but she did not know he is Luca Vitiello. She recognizes him as just Luca, which suited him just better. He always uses the confusion of his enemies, to his advantage. "Really, you look like a man who is an alcoholic and wife abuser" Emma totally made that up.He does not look that ridiculous. He is looking different than his usual self, but not an

Emma and Luca decided to try the roller coaster. Emma was fine for the first couple of seconds until the speed increased."Oh no," she said before closing her eyes tightly with fear.Luca on the other hand is not as affected as Emma. He saw much more scary things than this roller coaster ride as the mafia boss.He pulled Emma towards him by his hand around her shoulders. Emma turned her head and hid her head in his neck. When the ride is finally over, she was a little unstable on her legs. So she leaned heavily on to him."That was scary" she confessed."It was different" he commented.By the time they came out of the carnival, most of the people left and only a few are left here and there. It's 10 pm and Emma is tired and sleepy. She ate junk food at the carnival, so she is not at all hungry. After they sat inside the car, she rested her head on his shoulder and fell asleep.Marco is sitting in the front passenge

After her friends are gone, Emma quickly changed out of her jeans and dressed in her sleep shorts and a t-shirt.She decided to go and check on Luca.'He was angry a little while ago' she thought.Emma slowly walked barefoot towards Luca's room. She knocked on the door, which is closed.Luca just laid down on his bed, when someone knocked on his door. Locking the door from the inside is one of the precautionary measures he takes. In his line of work, it's common to become an enemy to many people, who wants to kill him.On instinct, his palm reached under his pillow, where he keeps his gun. But then again, he moved his fingers away from the gun.'Is it Emma? Why did she come to find me so late?' Luca thought. He prefers track shorts to sleep in.He walked towards his door and opened it. Sure enough, he found Emma standing outside."Kitten?" he said attracting her attention. The hallway is dark, and she was looking behind her
