I left my father’s office with no answers. I knew he was up to something, but what could I do without him coming clean. I could still hear Sadie talking with my mother. I walked into the living room and my mother was holding Julie. Sadie was talking about having Julie. My mother was just loving on my daughter. At that moment I had wished things were different. I had wished my family and Sadie’s family were normal. That these moments were real, but I knew better. I knew that Sadie and I needed to get out of here. I walked in and sat down next to Sadie.
