Stefano stood there in the darkness watching her. Adeline was in a deep sleep with the moonlight shone to her porcelain skin. Her head was whipped from left to right and back and forth as if she was having another nightmare.Few things began to rise in the air in the room. It didn’t surprise him at all. From the moment he resurrected her from the grave, he knew something was definitely different in her. Something stronger than he had ever seen in his thousands of years of life.He made his way to her side and put his cold hand on her sweaty forehead — seizing the nightmare from her mind.“Show me what you truly are, my love,” he whispered before he loomed his lips near hers.

Perfection used to be Eleanor’s middle name. From her perspective, everything had to be perfect. The way she arranged the dishes or the books or the way she walked. She looked like Mira with a very close resemblance. The front of the diner swung opened and was ringing the bell in return. His boots made sounds on the floor as he made his way to the table on the far corner of the diner. There weren’t many customers or staff: ten customers, two waitresses, and one cook. But even the slightest detail played an important role. Two doors were leading to the outside; one was the front door where he had come in earlier, and another was in the kitchen. He could break the glass wall if he had to.There were two cars outside. And the diner was located in the middle of nowhere. Did those ten customers pile into two vehicles and then took a different table?
