~Luella  A lay back, letting the sun dance across my face.  This is the life I should be living. No wonder Thought loves to retreat to his own personal simulation to enjoy benefits like this. I sit in front of an earth made pool, staring into its emerald green, turquoise blue surface, enjoying the way is beckons me in, even though I know its depths are deeper than I can see, and the water is surely cold.

~Luella  She slips into the room, eyeing me warily.  My poor, beautiful sister. She used to admire me, once upon a time. Now, she stares at me through pale green eyes, terrified. I’m still tied down, after a day. My wrists are rubbed raw, to the point they never stop stinging, and no one has come in this room to let me know when I might be let out. Everyone just likes not make excuses.  “You’re looking

~Luella  I stumble down onto my hands and knees.  Immediately I sense we are somewhere different to the last place Fate brought me.  Somewhere with hard wood floors and a sweltering heat which hits me right away. Forcing myself to my feet, I shake my head, the residue power lingering in the air. I hate that ability that each immortal I have come across has access to, to leaves me with shuddering legs and a sick feeling in my stomach.

~Luella  I barely have time to register his steps, as he carries me upstairs.  Before I know it, we are in his bedroom, the kiss never ceasing. His grip on my thighs are almost painful, but in a pleasant, addicting way. Just having my mate touch me, kiss me in this way is driving me crazy, all reasonable thoughts having vanished from my mind. After everything I have been through, I want anything to take my mind away

For our date, Thought decided to take me to a village in his territory. I've decided I love his territory. The emerald green grass littered with vivid wildflowers for miles to see, only being broken by the village we venture into. It's cobblestone streets and beautifully built buildings are enough to have my mood improving already, despite everything that has gone on. I'm free. Free from Fate, free from other immortals who might want me dead. Thought holds my hand tightly, as we stroll down the street. It's strange, seeing him in such a domestic setting, people's gazes on him for longer th

¬Luella  Thought’s estate was ice cold as we arrive.  Maybe, in theory, it wasn’t my best idea to invite Emmett back here. There is a storm lingering in Thought’s eyes, as Emmett walks in, marvelling at the beautiful home the immortal has created for himself. But like I expected, Thought is being polite. His way of doing so, though, is being dead quiet, only speaking when he gets the chance. "You have an in

(If you’re confused about the timeline, Thought is set AFTER Time’s novel. Contains mild spoilers for Time)¬Luella The sheer shock of it had my mind returning back to where it belongs. Pain burns in the back of my eyes, having me flinch back. Holding my face, I stop myself from screaming at the pain, the colours dancing in my vision, before it begins to fade away. When I open my eyes again, Emmett is staring at me, dumbfounded at my sudden reaction to absolutely nothing. But it’s not Emmett. It’s another immortal harnessing power to pretend to be my old friend. And of course it would be Time. Of course it would be Thought’s brother...I wish I could know his motive, but whatever just happened, didn’t supply me with that information. I’m assuming that was the curse. With uncontrollable ease, I was able to slip into hi

¬Luella I can’t hide my skepticism for Time’s claim to protect me. He’s been here for a few hours now, wandering around, examining Thought’s house with a consistency that is clearly irritating Thought. But knowing the pointlessness of shooing the immortal from his home, he has bitten his tongue, and allowed for Time to stay, as long as he supplies us with information about the immortals who are aware of the curse affecting me. But he’s been awfully frugal in the manner of which he is imparting information. Thought is clearly tense with the unannounced arrival of his brother, but has the peace of mind to stay quiet about it

¬Luella I scream. Rushing toward the edge of the cliff, slipping over the dew on the grass, I desperately search below into the darkness to see where Time’s body has fallen. Surely he can’t die from this...right? He’s immortal, so it would take a lot more to kill him than simply falling off a cliff into the bush below, but the thought of him being injured, even if Time isn’t my favourite immortal, makes me feel ill.“Time!” I shout down the cliff, seeing nothing but inky shadows swirling tauntingly around a void of darkness, the immortal nowhere to be seen. I don’t have abilities to heal like him, so if I slip, which the stones

¬Luella Thought sits in front of me, looking me dead in the eye. He’s dragged me right to the top of his estate, in a small room clouded in dust with one small window letting in a small amount of natural sunlight. His plan, to see how capable I am with the powers I’m developing. Thought doesn’t think it will go any further than being able to get into Time’s mind, but I have my doubts. I feel different, like there is power flowing endlessly through my veins. “We need to work on controlling your power. You waking up in the middle of the night not realising your set on walking an immortal off a cliff cannot happen anymore. Es
