Sitting at the bar I looked up angrily at the clock on the stove. It was after 10 and I had yet to hear a word back from Lucas. Both my calls and my text remained unanswered. Part of me feared he had gone missing again but the other half of me knew he was still dealing with whoever had rushed him out of the house.I had finally gotten hungry enough to cook but was lazy so I settled for a grilled cheese sandwich.
