The rain splashed hard on the new years evening causing everyone to stay put in their houses. A shadow lingered in the alley waiting. A red SUV stopped blocking the view. I was nearly halfway away from her house when I got Katie's call. Confused, I picked it up."Katie?" I asked worriedly.

"Well, I don't care and I know him enough to trust him Dom and so should you" I cleared my point in front of him and he left seething in anger. We looked at each other and shrugged."Why did he react like that?" Katie questioned loudly.

I turned around but was thrown down on the floor with a great force. I looked up to see four Dosorllas entering the penthouse through the broken window as Hayden protected me from them. He was trying to dodge the attacks and keep me safe at the same time. I looked around trying to find a thing that could do something as I was looking here and there I slipped. I caught a handle of a cabinet to stop when it opened and a bunch of daggers fell out. I grabbed one and threw it at the one that was hovering above Hayden. It instantly melted.
