I hear a bone break out of place, pain replacing my hearing. “WYATT!” I yell out, pain rippling throughout me. I hear Cobalt whimper, realizing my shift isn’t going to be easy. I hear a few more bones crack out of place, pain—I can’t barely even breathe, it hurts.               “You have to breathe Remi. You’re different than other wolves, we’re different. I’ll only hurt this bad this once, I promise.” Mia taking some of the pain from me.               I’m crying at the relief, as I feel my body drop to the ground. Fur sprouting on my arms and legs, my vision getting stronger, more focused and I’m able to see better in the dark, it looks like daytime still. My face changing to a snout, elongating teeth and when I look down, I see paws.  &nbs

I wake up, trying to remember what happened when I feel my neck—it’s sensitive, sore, and healed. I remember, he marked me. The memory coming back to me, he said I could be out for days. I sit up in the bed when Wyatt comes into the bedroom.                “Hey, how are you awake already? I felt you through the bond.” He seemed shocked.                “I don’t even know how long I’ve been out…” I say shrugging my shoulders feeling his panic.                “Just the night, it’s noon now,” walking over to me, checking to see if I feel fine.                “I’m okay babe, I feel fine,” I look him in the eyes, reassuring him.        &nbs

I woke up frantic, gasping for air, sweat coating my skin; I look around at my surroundings, I see Wyatt sleeping peacefully beside me, he starts moving as he can feel my emotions. I try to calm myself down before he wakes and feels something wrong before I can even make sense of it.                “I don’t know what the hell that was, but we need to share that with our mate Remi,” Mia growls.                “Okay I will, just give me some time to talk to my parents about it, I’m sure that they’re worried about my kidnapping anyways.”                “Fine. You better tell him, SOON,” I feel Mia leaving my mind, only my thoughts left to drown me—trying to make sense of everything.            

I wake up in Wyatt’s arms, last night was incredible before falling asleep on him. I remember sleep keeping me from having to talk about everything right then, thankfully. I had to figure out what I was able to share with him, and what I couldn’t, an unfinished truth? I’ll be able to tell him everything once I speak more with Sirena. For now, I’ll tell him about me having nightmares and that I believe the kidnapping was indeed part of my past, with me being some special kind of wolf. I hope he doesn’t go too much into it and causes more panic, I want to be honest with him, hiding it is not going to be an easy task. If I hide it completely, am I any better than my parents or my grandma? I’m not upset with them as it was for my safety, I know Wyatt won’t see me hiding things as for the pack’s safety though. He will lock me in a cell like the kidnappers had done to prevent me from my plan to save countless lives.            

Alpha Wyatt’s P.o.V                I was expecting pain, but not this severe, it’s like lightning, electrocuting you and without my wolf, I can’t heal. Looking over to Remi, she has her eyes closed, not wanting to see me in pain, I know through our mate bond that she feels my pain, we share the feeling, we’re connected in every way.
