Chapter 19- A Guilty Conscience

When Alice arrived home, her head was in such a whirl. It was almost heaving from the amount of information it had received in one day. Not just from the ordinary lessons. But also from Juliet's shocking story about Courtney. Her head was in such a spin that she ended up tripping over a table leg and ripping her school skirt. Cursing, she crawled to her knees and examined the damage. Her eyes rubbernecked over the skirt and decided that the tear was too much to mend. The skirt had a large gash, slashed through the centre. There was no way that she could go about her day with that unnoticed.
