Sally frowned. That voice sounded familiar to her. Turning instinctively to the origin of the sound, she quickly spotted Tina Castillo, who was smiling as she stood near them. Just like before, Tina’s eyes were glued to Elijah. “Even so, I won’t trouble you, Mrs. Larson.” Elijah gave Tina a cold, polite smile before he turned to leave, pulling Sally along with him. “Elijah!” Tina panicked when she saw that Elijah was going to leave. She hurriedly strode over and said, “I have something to say to you.” Elijah frowned. “Mrs. Larson, I don’t think I have anything to say to you. Please have some self-respect.” He had been aware that the woman had been giving him odd looks since the start. However, he had not said anything outright to protect her dignity. Now that she had taken the initiative to speak to him first, Elijah was going to swiftly reject her. After he said this, he held Sally close to him as he turned to get into the car. “Please don’t misunderstand.”
