Dante heaved a sigh of relief when his grandfather finally left his office leaving him alone with Xavier."That was intense," Xavier commented."Tell me about it," Dante sighed his shoulders slumping while his eyelids threatened to close. He was exhausted mentally, emotionally, and physically."You've got enough balls standing up to him like that," Xavier mused.Dante chuckled. "Love makes us feel and do things we never normally would have done."Xavier chuckled nodding his head in understanding. "I know what you mean."Dante arched his brow at him. "Don't talk like you know what I mean, Xavier. You're a crazy player."Xavier chuckled heartily. "It's true but I've still got a heart.""I'm yet to see it," Dante shrugged.Giving him a small nod, Xavier stood up ready to leave. "I wish you success, dude I can only imagine how she will

"Yes." Dante blinked as he stared at Natalie, his eyes widened slightly. "Natalie, I said I have something to tell you." She frowned. "Something more important than my answer?" He suddenly realized what she meant. "No, my love." "Then my answer is yes," she smiled at him. He slipped the ring into her finger as she admired it, tears glistening in his eyes. This was not how he had planned this night. He had wanted to tell her the truth about everything, apologize to her, get her forgiveness before allowing her to wear his ring but she had insisted.

Leo had a task to finish but he couldn't complete it. He was supposed to make sure that Dante had confessed the truth to Natalie but he hadn't been able to do so. The joy he had seen on her face was enough to cripple a man and make him swallow any bad news. He didn't blame Dante either for not telling her. He could only hope they get to be happy before everything falls apart because it would. A knock at his door snapped him out of his thoughts and he frowned. It was only one person who visited him aside from Dante and Lee. Swinging the door open he saw Natalie standing on his porch. "You again?!" He growled. She chuckled. "I wish I had

"Earth to Natalie!" Natalie winced slightly at the sound of Lexi's voice in her ears. "You wanna make me deaf, right?" She glared at her friend. Lexi shrugged. "I've been asking you some questions but you weren't listening. Where is your mind?" Natalie sighed. She was in her best friend's house because she couldn't stand being alone with her mind reeling about trying to figure out what Dante was hiding from her. She had overheard his conversation with Leo last night. She hadn't even known that he was so close to Leo. It was clear they were hiding something from her. Then there was also Xavier. She had a weird feeling that he was up to

Natalie was convinced about the second voice she and heard but the owner of the voice was nowhere to be found. Her eyes scanned the entire room and yet she saw no one. She went to the receptionist and asked to book an appointment with the counselor tomorrow before she left. She drove off still fondling her favorite pocket knife. Her phone was ringing but she knew it was Dante. She didn't want to tell him about this so he wouldn't get involved in her issues. Shortly after the phone call ended, his voicemail played on her phone. "My love, I know that you're upset about the news but please pick up your phone." She felt her eyes glisten with tears. He was a blessing in disguise to her. When her ph

Dante stared at his phone for the tenth time today. He knew he had promised not to call her because she went to see a counselor but he just couldn't help himself. He picked up his phone and dialed her number, it rang but there was no response. He dialed it again and the same thing happened. Finally, deciding she was avoiding his calls he went back to work. He got lost in the file he was going through, he missed the first call that entered his phone. So when his phone rang almost immediately he frowned. "Hello, Mrs. Curtis?" "Dante, release your woman to come to get these kids the school dismissed an hour ago," Chloe's principal stressed.

When Dante opened his eyes he realized he's been strapped and tied to the same chair just like the girls. His head was throbbing in pain and his eyes were trying to adjust to the brightness. When he finally opened his eyes, he blinked back and saw Williams holding the tip of a knife, twirling the knife while Natalie yelled at him. The noise was making his head foggy and gave him a massive headache. He knew he had to speak up but saying anything would reveal the truth immediately. Still, he couldn't help himself. "Williams!" He yelled. Natalie snapped her head towards Dante and saw him glaring at Mr. Scar calling him 'Williams' which could only mean his name.

Six Years Ago "Mom! I'm home," Natalie hollered as she stepped into the sitting room. Her mom wasn't there and neither was she in the kitchen. She headed towards the room and heard a soft moan from the bathroom. "Mom?" She called softly. "In here, Nat. Just a sec." She heaved a sigh of relief at the sound of her mother's voice. A few minutes later, her mom came out flashing her a dazzling smile. Natalie eyed her suspiciously. "What's got you in such a good mood?" "How was school today, Nat?" Her mom asked ignoring her q

"I've never been to the movies before." Dan gave her an odd look. "Never?" She shook her head. "Plus I'm waiting till I'm sixteen." Natalie chuckled at Dan's mortified expression. She had just returned from school and was rejoicing it was the weekends so she wouldn't have to go to school till Monday. Dan had met her in her excited state and suggested an outing to start her weekend. "It's not compulsory to be sixteen before going to the movies," he pointed out. She nodded. "I know it's not but I wish to do it like that." "Fine, I understand," he replied grudgingly.

Monday. The worst day of the week but somehow Natalie couldn't escape it. Partially because she was still a high school student and she wasn't an adult yet. Grumbling under her breath and muttering curses not fit for fifteen years old, Natalie dressed up for school in her black skinny jeans, white crop top, and her black leather jacket. She finished her dressing with black boots and light make-up before strutting downstairs. She may be the kid they picked on in school but it didn't stop her from looking her best especially on Mondays. "Breakfast is ready, Natalie!" She quickened her pace at the sound of her mother's voice and raced downstairs grabbing a slice of bread smeared with jam and a cu
