With their hysterical argument out of the way, Mr and Mrs. Vera got ready rather fast. By nine o'clock, they were piled into the Journey to fish for the morning from a large pier. If he went by what both Mr. Jack and Dillon said, it was one of the best places to fish. The water was considerably deep, but it was close enough to the shore to not need a boat. When they got there, they were elated to see that there was nobody there. Though they usually picked the pier in the middle, there was also a pier a few hundred yards away to the left, and another the same distance to the right. Sometimes they'd switch piers if they didn't have any luck off the center pier for a while and bounce between the three.
