Nicolas stood up from his lying position and peeked from the tower to look down at the deserted part of the beach. The sudden faint sound of a female crying for help startled Nicholas as that was the first time he heard any other person's voice at that place except his own. He used to think that part of the beach was so deserted that most of the people didn't even know about its existence and it was also far away from locality and city so basically hearing girls' voices at that hour of night was totally unexpected for Nicholas.
