Ashton sat in the meeting room, staring at the projecting screen thoughtlessly. The accounting head of Schwimmer Corporation was detailing the monthly performance and profits of the company but Ashton had his thoughts somewhere else.  He kept trying Katherine's number from the moment she left home that morning but she wouldn't bother attending his calls or answer to his texts.
