After giving it some thought, I said, "I remember that Wayne had mentioned something about participating in a party at a luxurious cruise ship. The party is hosted by some big foreign company. I didn't accept the invite because I thought it was too risky."

It seemed like someone intentionally got Wayne to sign the contract. As for who the person was and why they did so, I had no idea. After all, it had nothing to do with me.

But on second thought, I couldn't simply dismiss it. I reminded Logan to be prepared—Bright Star Technologies could be going bankrupt.

Logan was surprised to hear that. "You don't seem to be surprised at all. Why?"

I shrugged and said, "This has nothing to do with me after all. Business is business. I'm in this to make money. I have no intention of giving my competitors money.

"Besides, we'll only be able to compete with the large conglomerates if we acquire Bright Star Technologies."
