Caleb turned away, his shoulders trembling with emotion, while my father's eyes glistened with unshed tears. My mother held my hand tightly, trying to comfort me.

"It's okay," she said gently, "You'll have children again in the future.”

"The doctor said this child’s condition wasn't stable to begin with. It wasn't your fault."
