Taking a deep breath, she mustered the courage to step into the house.

As she pushed open the door, she was greeted by Mrs. Robert.

With a warm smile, Mrs. Robert asked, "Back from work?"

Scarlett nodded and glanced inside, only to see someone sitting on the couch,his face hidden from the view.

Mrs. Robert said, "Mr. Gray is here."

Scarlett changed her shoes and walked in, forcing a smile as she greeted, "Good evening, Mr. Gray."

Wayne put down the financial magazine he was reading and glanced at her.

His tone was dripping with sarcasm, "Mr. Gray?"

This woman, refusing to divorce him yet acting so distant?

Was she playing hard to get?

Scarlett had already apologized once, but she sincerely repeated, "I didn't mean to touch your things. I'm really sorry."

"Do you really think that just saying sorry will make me forgive you?" Wayne leaned
