I don’t know what happened when the king talked to me. But I knew then that even if he isn’t my birth father, he is my dad. He held me for a long time, whispering calm words. After he let go, Aiden hugged me and asked me if I was okay. And I was, but I was so exhausted, years of abuse and being partly starved and been on the run for days now, my body was giving up.
Not wanting me to get hurt because of exhaustion, Aiden told me not to shift today but sit on his wolf. While we were running, he wanted me to rest. Dad, grandpa, and Zach all agreed with him, so I did as he said. I was so tired I slept while he was running and was surprised I had not fallen off.
