LOGINJade flushed and her heart raced. She felt his palm burn into her soul when he placed his hand on her waist.
He used his free hand to seductively trace her chin, jaw and finally, her lips.
She was scared because of the dark look in his eyes but mostly because of the heat in between her legs.
Xavier slowly drew away from her and she turned to the window again.
Maybe the best thing is never to ask him any question that may or may not trigger her libido.
The car came to a sudden stop and she sat up only to realize that they pulled over on the tarmac.
"Where are we going?" She frowned.
"My home in New York" He simply stated and got out and before he could reach her door, she already jumped out.
"What do you mean by 'my home in New York'?!" She exclaimed. "I don't want to leave Brooklyn!" She angrily said.
"What I want is the only thing you should think of '' He roughly grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. "And the last thing you want is the head of your mother wrapped in a little nice bow" He felt her tremble. "Good girl. I have my men following your parents so never irritate me" He let her go.
Jade looked up at him with fat tears in her eyes.
"You wouldn't!" She bitterly said.
"Try me" He smirked and offered his elbow which she reluctantly took.
He took her to his private jet and soon, they took off.
Jade bade goodbye to her city, friends and parents in her heart.
She may never see them again because she has no clue what her new life will be like with a complete stranger.
Xavier sat opposite her with his pistol on the table between them and all he did was punch his laptop with his headphones on.
"What will it take for you to let me go?" She suddenly asked which made him stop typing.
"When I'm tired of you, I'll let you go" He simply shrugged.
What exactly does he want from her?
Will he make her his sex slave?
She can never be anyone's sex toy!
"You disgust me! You are so pathetic! You're sick!" She said to him but he continued typing.
How the hell can she get to this man!?
No matter what she says, he doesn't react to her insults!
"Animal" She frowned.
A steward walked to them.
"What would you like ma'am?" He politely asked. "Water? Soda? Wine? Champagne? Cocktail…"
"Fuck you and your cocktail!" She cursed at him.
The man blinked but still maintained his smile.
"Whiskey will do" Xavier said to the man without looking at him.
"So, do I get to go out by myself, alone?" She asked.
"Sure," He replied.
Jade smiled.
That means her freedom won't be restricted and she'll do whatever she likes. She can even escape.
Jade thought about different plans to run away from the psychopath sitting opposite her and go back to her parents.
She'll take them so far he will never be able to find them.
"With protection of course" He added after reading her mind. She frowned.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"My men will follow you around to make sure you don't try to escape," He replied.
"What? So I can't live freely now?"
"You are not in shackles..." He simply replied. "..yet. Just behave and you probably never be in one"
"I'm not a prisoner!" She angrily said and looked away from him.
Are her parents aware of the kind of person he is?
Are they aware of the way she'd be treated or don't they give a shit?
He will monitor her every move.
He will make life difficult for her!
Jade felt naked and vulnerable.
She was defenseless and she hated it.
She wasn't used to taking instructions from anybody and now, she has to dance to his every tune else her parents might die.
Xavier drank his whiskey studying Jade over the rim of his glass.
She sadly stared into space and slowly, her eyes became heavy.
She dropped her head a couple of times but finally gave in and slept.
He was even able to get a look at her red panties.
Jade yawned and stretched herself on the expensive leather seat.
What a nightmare.
She yawned again and slowly opened her eyes and looked around. Her eyes finally rested on his icy blues eyes.
Oh shit! It wasn't a nightmare!
She looked away with a sigh.
"I wish you could just disappear," She murmured and sat up.
"Are we there yet?" She tried to look outside the window.
"Yes" He shut his laptop and stood up. "Let's go"
He offered his arm but she stared at it for a second.
"You don't have to act like a gentleman" She rolled her eyes but finally took it.
"I'm no gentleman, trust me" He smiled and led her out of the cabin.
That wasn't a nice smile. It was laced with evil.
She carefully climbed down the stairs only to find multiple men and women dressed in black. Just like the ones at her house.
They stood in rows like the army or something and each of them wore shades.
"My men" He whispered and she nodded.
"Lord" They all said in unison.
'Lord'?
What the hell was going on?
Is this some kind of joke or what?
A cult perhaps?
Jade looked up at the man standing beside her.
He looked calm and collected but strangely dangerous.
The aura around him was that of control and power.
The way he looked at his men with zero emotion or expression was grounding.
He has a presence that demands attention either because he is wealthy or has power.
Who is this man!?
She knew he was wealthy but to what extent?
Does he own all these people? Is he a king? Or a god? What is he?
She looked around again and back at him.
Is Xavier with the mafia?
Jade realized she wasn't dealing with any ordinary man.
Khalil hurried down the stairs, his footsteps echoing through the hallway. His servants informed him that Jade was waiting for him. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw her standing in his foyer, two young boys by her side. For a moment, he thought it was a prank, but the look on his servants' faces told him otherwise. They knew better than to play tricks on him, especially when it came to someone like Jade. As he descended the stairs, Khalil's eyes locked onto Jade's, and he felt his heart skip a beat. She looked different, yet the same. Her hair was styled differently, and her eyes seemed more tired than he remembered, but the spark in them was still there. The boys standing beside her were the spitting image of Xavier, and Khalil's gut twisted with a mix of emotions. He had thought they were his once, had fought for them, only to discover they weren't. Now, seeing them with Jade, he felt a pang of longing. Khalil stopped a few feet away from Jade, his eyes drinking
The cold metal door creaked as Jade slipped into the small, dimly lit safehouse. Her heart thudded with every step she took. The silence was suffocating. She looked over her shoulder again, just to be sure she wasn’t followed.Raquel stood by the window, her arms folded, her profile lit by the thin strip of daylight sneaking through the blinds. She didn’t turn around.“You shouldn’t have come here,” Raquel said softly.Jade shut the door behind her and leaned against it. “Xavier’s after you.”Raquel chuckled dryly. “I’m aware.”He saw her that night. That night she helped Jade escape.“He thinks you helped me… He’s not going to forgive that, Raquel.”“I don't expect him to.”Xavier will forever be Xavier.Jade stepped further into the room, her voice almost in a whisper. “He doesn’t have the boys. He lied. He was bluffing… and I believed him. Raquel, if he doesn’t have them… where are they?”There was a long pause. Raquel turned, her face calm. Too calm.Jade’s breath caught. That n
The apartment was too quiet. Jade sat at the edge of her sons’ bed, her fingers lightly brushing over a small stuffed bear left behind in the rush of that night. The room still smelled like them, like clean cotton, crayons, and safety. It used to calm her. Now it only reminded her how empty the house felt. Her heart was at war. Was she wrong to try and run? Should she fight harder? Or should she just stay and play nice until she found a safer way out? He had the boys and she wants them back. Without him in their lives. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away. No. She wasn’t going to break again. She had already handed in her resignation. Burned every bridge. She was ready to disappear, to take her boys somewhere Xavier would never find them. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere normal. But her plans fell apart the moment she learned Xavier had already taken them. Why would he do this before the week was over? He gave her time! Well, she trie
Jade paused at the threshold of Xavier’s office, the polished mahogany double doors looking like gates to a castle. She swallowed hard, steadying the tremor in her limbs. The room beyond glowed softly under warm lights, rich carpets, heavy draperies, walls lined with old portraits, the imposing desk at center stage. This place had once belonged to her. Now it belonged to him. She stepped forward, shoes whispering across the carpet. Her eyes swept the room, memorizing the place she had tried to leave behind, the throne he now occupied. Each familiar detail stung, the leather chairs, the shelves of books, the desk where many decisions had been made. Her throat felt tight. She's here again. Xavier sat behind the desk, hands folded, his face calm, too calm. He looked up, eyes locking on hers. The quiet flickered between them. “Jade,” he said, voice smooth, “back so soon?” Her chest clenched. She took a breath, trying to steady her voice. “I didn’t come
The house was silent when Jade crept through the hallway, every step measured. The moonlight filtered through narrow windows, painting pale stripes across the carpet. Her heart pounded so hard she feared the walls might hear it. She paused outside her sons’ door. A soft, even rhythm, a lullaby in breathing. Her boys slept, clutching small blankets. She swallowed hard. This was it. Raquel stood behind her, flashlight in hand, face pale but determined. “I checked the guards, the routes. We’re clear for now.” Jade nodded. She pressed a finger to her lips. “Let me just… one more look.” She touched her boys’ cheeks softly, memorizing. She kissed their foreheads. “Mommy’s going to take you somewhere safe. Forever.” They stirred slightly but stayed asleep. Relief flooded her, bitter and sharp. The door to her room was ajar. Light spilled from under. She froze. Footsteps echoed beyond, outside the room. Her body tensed. Raquel touched her arm. “That’s our signal.
She froze. There, in the living room, her boys were on the floor, building a fort with couch pillows. And sitting across from them on the armrest was Xavier, tapping away at his phone like nothing had happened. Her knees almost gave way. He looked up casually, a small smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he said. Jade didn’t move. Didn’t breathe. Liam saw her and squealed with delight. “Mommy!” Liam ran to her, hugging her legs, pulling on her arm. “Play with us!” Liam said. She knelt, hugging him tightly, her heart aching, relief washing over her in a wave that made her dizzy. But behind that relief… was rage. He’s playing with her. He knew she'd panic. He wanted this. She stood slowly, her eyes locked on him. “You think this is funny?” Xavier raised an eyebrow. “What?” “You told me I had a week.” He stood now, slowly, deliberately. “And you do. I just missed them. Thought I’d take them for the evening. Is that a crime?”
