Chapter 331

After a brief pause, Quincy asked, "Are you in your department? I'll come to find you. I heard our department head talking about it this morning. I've been worried sick about you."

"I'm not in the department," Jennifer replied dejectedly. "My supervisor told me to take a break for a few days and lay low."

Quincy hesitated before saying sympathetically, "Okay, let's talk at lunch. I need to go on rounds with my attending physician now."

Jennifer felt even more depressed after ending the call.

The obstetrics and gynecology department and the surgical department were not in the same building. In fact, they were far apart. Yet, even Quincy had heard about the incident.

That meant almost everyone in the hospital had learned about it. Worse, even the other department heads were using Jennifer as a negative example.

At noon, Jennifer headed to the hospital cafeteria after feeding Robert.
