Chapter 320

Jennifer looked down at the floor to avoid Robert's gaze.

To be honest, she admired Robert's acceptance of death, but she couldn't bring herself to say goodbye to him.

Jennifer knew it was pointless to continue the treatment and that it would only bring more pain to Robert. Subjecting an old man to chemotherapy at his age would be nothing short of torture.

Jennifer nodded. "I understand, Grandpa. I'll make sure to make you happy every day."

"That's a good girl. I always knew I made the right choice with you." Robert chuckled. "Maxwell is lucky to have married you."

Jennifer couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. Thankfully, Robert didn't know that she and Maxwell were divorced.

Although Robert had awakened, he was still weak and soon fell asleep. Jennifer went to look for Maxwell once he was asleep. She found him sitting on a bench outside the hospital.
