Chapter 499 If I Don't Return

At the Lancaster Group, Lucian was listening to Simon's report when the office door was suddenly opened. Kyros stood at the doorway, silent, his dark eyes fixed on Lucian.

They hadn't seen each other for two days, and he looked visibly exhausted. His innocent puppy eyes were now bloodshot from staying up late.

The atmosphere in the office turned strangely quiet with his arrival. Simon hastily gathered the documents spread out on the desk.

"I'll be going then, Mr. Lancaster."

He felt an unusual coldness from him. Simon was one of Lucian's men, so he knew Kyros might seem harmless on the surface, but he could be ruthlessly dangerous when provoked.

Sensing Kyros's lousy mood, Simon increased his pace until he felt the intimidating gaze on his back had receded. Kyros closed the door and walked up to Lucian.

"Jordan, it seems like Simon is afraid of me."
