Chapter 1

Giselle's POV :

My alarm rang disturbing my sleep. I cursed the alarm and got up. I saw the date on the calender and finally, I saw it was the day for my interview at Armanio Enterprises.

I brushed my teeth, took a shower, all that boring stuff. I dressed up in the outfit I picked out for the day, put in some pearls in my ears, slipped on my shoes, took my purse, locked my apartment and got in my car.

Armanio Enterprises wasn't that far from my home, so I reached there in 15 minutes. I sat in my car for a few minutes to collect my cool and got out of my car.

Okay, breathe in, breathe out Giselle. You can do this! Imagine that this is your high school part-time job and go with the flow.

I looked up and my nerves began building up once again. The building was practically a SKYSCRAPER! It's now or never. I took out my mini mirror from my hand bag and checked my appearance. My raven hair was in a sleek ponytail. My light pink lip gloss wasn't smudged anywhere. My light pink button up shirt was perfectly tucked in my black pencil skirt.

Last but not least, my green eyes had their usual shine in them. It was a miracle that my lip gloss hadn't smudged after doing what I did...... I indulged in a few donuts, I can't help it when I'm nervous. I have an advantage that I never get wider no matter how much I eat.

I checked my stilettos for any smudges and stepped out of my car. I took a deep breath and walked into the office building.

It was so classy inside. You could see your own reflection in the white marble tiles. There were leather chairs against the walls. I walked up to the receptionist and gave her a smile, which she returned.

She asked me, "How may I help you?"

"Giselle Marcello. I'm here for an interview."

She skimmed through her computer and told me to go to the top most floor. She even wished me luck. I went inside the elevator and clicked on the button number 70. The top most floor.

I waited patiently for the elevator to reach there. When I stepped out of the elevator, a warm homey feeling enveloped me. There was a great view from here and the flooring was made of some rich coffee carpet. My nerves eased a little. The air conditioning eased my nerves a bit. Who am I kidding? It eased my nerves a lot.

I knocked the door with my fist and there was an immediate reply. I entered the room and it was nothing like I expected. There was a beautiful view of the city with blue lights above the clear glass.

I expected a tall, handsome guy to be seated in the chair in front of me. Too much Wattpad. But, instead I saw a fifty-ish year old man with a hint of amusement in his eyes. He seemed very friendly, but you know the saying, 'Don't judge a book by its cover.'

He had greying hair at his sides, other than that, he looked like a fit guy.

"Please take a seat Ms. Marcello." He spoke in a gruff voice.

When I was seated, I noticed the presence of someone else in the room. He was literally a giant. He was so freaking tall, not wide, but muscular and his black hair was tousled. His back was facing me, so I can't describe him more than that. Anyways, I already have a boyfriend.

But then again, I'm just looking at him, nothing else. He was in a fitted suit. Probably Armani.

"Ah, I see you've noticed my son there."

"Yes sir. He's quite the giant if I say so myself."

Poor Mr. Armanio almost choked on his water. He cleaned the water on his mouth with a handkerchief and said, "Well, that was blunt."

Just then, the giant turned around and glared at me. He had ocean blue eyes, a stubble, a sharp jaw, perfectly thick arched eyebrows and a straight sharp nose. I had to give him credit for his looks, but he didn't faze me. Well, maybe a little. Okay let's be honest. He looks like a Greek God.

"WHAT did you call me you little maggot?!"

"I recall calling you a giant Jr. Mr. Armanio."

"WHAT?!" He came closer to my chair. He looks like he's going to kill me. He glared right at me and I was leaning back in the chair as far as I could.

"Well, your father is Mr. Armanio. If I called you Mr. Armanio too, you both would get confused, so I'm calling you Jr. Mr. Armanio."

"Save your crap for later. Dad, please don't hire her." With that he left.

I didn't show my anger out and turned to face Mr. Armanio.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Armanio, if I offended you in any way."

"Oh not at all dear. His mother pampers him way too much." He chuckled at the thought of his wife.

"Me? Well, no matter how much I keep him in line, he keeps coming out." I chuckled at the thought of that.

"So let's being with the interview, now shall we?"

"Certainly sir."

He checked my resumè for about ten minutes and asked me a few questions.

It was time for the last question.

"What's your relationship status? This is a personal question, you don't have to answer it, but I'm asking you this to make sure you don't involve your love life with your work life."

"No problem sir. I only dated one guy who is my boyfriend of two years, Travis Crey. Don't worry about that sir. He lives in another state. We don't see much of eachother, but we talk at night and we visit eachother whenever possible." I gave a smile at the end.

He gave me a huge welcoming smile and gave his hand for me to shake. "Welcome to Armanio Enterprises."
