"Ms Adams, there's someone here to see you," one of the maids' voices boomed from the other side of my bedroom door. I stared at the door with a slight frown before shouting.
"I'm coming!"
Who was here to disturb my peace on a Saturday night I have no idea, Aurora was somewhere prancing with Chris, she's always with Chris lately.
Pulling my sweater on, I opened my bedroom door and walked downstairs. My dad and Kiara had gone on a date night of some sort, what for I don't know since they're already getting married! So in conclusion, I was kind of home alone.
Once I reached the bottom of the stairs, I walked into the foyer and found him staring out into the garden, I crossed my arms over my chest and stood behind him.
Today I came to work a little bit earlier than I usually do. In fact, I've been sitting in front of my laptop for the past five hours staring at the door wondering if she'll be coming to work today. I didn't understand where the fight between us began. It was frustrating that when we were finally making a breakthrough, somehow we got pulled back and further away from each other this time. I said things I didn't mean, she probably did say things she did mean but I didn't want her to believe those things. I can't believe I called her a whore, of fuck I'm such an idiot! The reason why I didn't agree to what Jack asked me was because I know Jack is a very competitive person and would instantly see Lia as a game, and she's more than a game to me, and I don't want to fight with anyone for her attention or for her time
"How are you feeling!" Ora asked, standing next to me as we looked at ourselves in the mirror fixing our dresses. "I'm fine, just ready to come back home and sleep," I said, fixing her hair and pulling some strands to the front. This girl's hair would be the death of me. "I can't believe that you didn't even make it to the bridesmaid's list," she said once again expressing her anger and resentment towards Kiara's decisions. "It's her wedding," I responded and Ora huffed, folding her arms over her chest. "That you basically did the planning for, went cake tasting, suites and dresses fittings, furniture, food that should be served and all that jazz, one would swear it's your wedding!" "Ora, it's really fine. You shouldn't
I stared at my father as he forced a smile on his face, dancing with his new wife, aka my stepmother Kiara, while both smiling at each other long enough to have some great photos taken of their first dance. "So he's kicking you out?" Ora whispered in my ear as we both watched the dance floor with scowls on our faces. "Basically, and he said I should take it as a form of an apology, yeah right," I said back and she shook her head crossing her arms over her chest. "Something's wrong," she said and I stood straighter on guard checking her. "Is the baby okay!?" I yelled loud enough for the people close to us, Chris and the bartender to hear us and Chris spit out his drink coughing and I stared at Ora in horror. "Uh oh?"
"Alright, I think we got all of it," I said to Ora once I zipped the final suitcase of clothing I had. She sat on my bed looking sad and I couldn't help but frown and sit next to her. "On the bright side, you can leave the house more often now." "But you'll still be far away from me," she whimpered and I wrapped my arms around her shoulders. Her pregnancy made her much more emotional and needier than usual, I found it really entertaining and cute at the same time. I had a little niece or nephew growing in there and I got to watch the process, well not anymore but hopefully I still will. "I know, but I will try to come back on weekends and I'll pass by almost every day because I have to check up on our baby in there," I pressed a kiss on her tummy and got up from the bed. "That would be amazing, have y
I sat on JJ's desk patiently waiting for him to arrive. I held his coffee in my hands and I stared at the door counting the seconds he would walk in. I felt nervous, and I could feel the food in my stomach turn in anticipation, I couldn't stop biting my lip and I couldn't believe I was finally swallowing my pride. I heard his footsteps echo through the empty office, I sat up straighter and upon seeing him a natural smile made its way to my face. "Good morning," I whispered, pushing the coffee forward and he looked at me surprised, seeing that I was on his desk and I was personally giving him his coffee after weeks of me ignoring him, I guess it made sense. "Good morning, Lia," he said carefully, slowly reaching towards me and taking the mug out of my hands.&nbs
"Have I told you how sexy you look tonight?" Jason asked me, staring at my cleavage biting his lip. I chuckled and pushed my chest out bringing my hands under my thighs. "My boobs don't know how to talk for themselves," I said and he grinned licking his lips, his eyes met mine and he sat back on his chair crossing his arms over his chest. He was dressed in a suit, his normal attire, however this time he left out the tie and had the first few buttons undone giving me the perfect view of his chest. He had rolled up his sleeves and for once in such a long time, his hair wasn't slicked back by the gel, instead, it was left unruly and had a few locks falling on his face. He looked relaxed and I loved the look on him. "I was talking to you," he said and I laughed, shaking my head.
I woke up on Jason's chest and he had his arm wrapped around my body in a tight hold, his hand laid comfortably on my ass. I pressed a kiss on his chest and slowly unwrapped his hand from my body, sliding out the sheets. I stood and I could feel the soreness between my legs. I smiled remembering last night's episode and how he kept me up all night. Jason was insatiable, but so was I. I grabbed his shirt from the floor and walked to his bathroom cleaning myself up before heading downstairs to make us breakfast. "Good morning, miss," a voice said behind me and I jumped out of shock. Turning around I saw it was that girl that didn't want me to wash my plates, smiling and giving her a little wave. "Hey, I never got your name the last time I was here?" I said
"Good morning, Rosie," I whispered against my cup as Rosie walked in the kitchen, this time I was Jason's black shirt that I picked out of his closet. "Oh, you're still here..." she whispered softly, shocked to see me. "Yeah, spending the weekend," I answered smiling and she slowly nodded blushing. "I see, can I get you anything?" she asked, patting down her dress and I shook my head pointing to the seat next to me. "No, but sit down and keep me company," I said and I saw her hesitate before she opened her mouth to obviously decline. "Please." "I guess I could spare a few minutes," she sat down and I gleamed. "Do you want coffee?" I offered pointing to the coffee
Two years after giving birth to Adrian, Jason and I were finally getting married...with more people around this time. During those two years, it definitely wasn't easy, we had just welcomed our newborn baby, the merger of the company was taking place and we were getting used to our two different families who weren't so different. Jason's side of the family was amazing, they were supportive and always wanted us to visit them with their favourite grandson, my side of the family was just as amazing, always present and helpful in raising Adrian. It wasn't easy at first after giving birth, there were many sleepless nights, debates on who's changing the diaper, or who's turn it was to stay up all night. I was the one who always stayed up all night and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was a sweating mess. My hair was sticking onto my face, the light cloth that covered my body stuck onto me like a second skin, I smelt bad, just like sweat and I felt horrible. Screaming out for the umpteenth time today, feeling the excruciating labour pain kick me again and each time worse than before, I looked over at my husband whose face was scrunched up in pain as I squeezed his hand...if I was feeling this, he had to feel it too. Even though his wasn't anything measured up to mine. "Baby, breathe," he said, noticing my glare and doing those ridiculous breathing exercises. Deep breaths in and deep breaths out, it didn't work! And it didn't help with getting this baby out of me, on five centimetres dilated, half through getting his baby out of me. I think I should have been more clear when I said hous
"Okay, so how about, Jasper?" I asked suggestively as I laid on Jason's chest playing with the light stubble on his chin. "What does it mean?" he asked as he turned another page in the book he was reading, he looked so sexy with his glasses on, chewing on his bottom lip as he concentrated on his book and tried to give me attention as well. "Bringer of treasure, plus it's a fiery red gem that symbolises courage, endurance, and health," I explained to him watching his eyes stray from his book over to me. I still can't describe the feeling those eyes give me whenever they meet mine. "I like it," he said and his eyes roamed all over my face. "But I also like Declan," he said and my face scrunched up. "No, I don't like it," I said and he laughed while cl
"Happy birthday to you," I sang to Jason as I sat on top of him, waking him up I pushed the cupcake with the cliché one candle on it towards him. He gave me a boyish grin and pushed his hair back before sitting up straight. "Baby," he groaned, still smiling and I carried on singing, each note getting higher and higher as I jumped up and down softly. "Make a wish!" I exclaimed excitedly and he blew the candle out. Taking out the candle from the cake, I grabbed the cupcake and took a huge bite out of it. He stared at me shocked and I shrugged giggling. "I thought that was mine!" "The candle was yours," I said, still laughing, finishing off the cupcake he pouted and shook his head. "And this is delicious," I moaned with my mouthful of his cake.
I walked into Rick's and Kiara's house feeling extremely nervous and I was just about ready to vomit all of my anxiety out, but I was willing to stay strong, for my new family I had to stay strong. Where there's a will, there's a way. I cringed at my corny thought but it was a truthful thought that I'm not about to repeat! And of course, there is never a time I enter madam's house and she's not there, I wonder what it will be today. "Hey there, Ms CEO!" She chirped, waving her hands showing me she had just changed her nails, to a mustard colour and they were coffin-shaped, they weren't bad at all but for her skin colour, they didn't really compliment her pretty fingers, she did have pretty fingers. "Hey Kiara, how are you doing?" I asked clutchin
"Amelia Adams, will you do me the honours of becoming my wife, Mrs Daniels?" I stared at Jason feeling many emotions pass through me. Excitement and joy because I was really happy he proposed to me, I never thought the day would come but it's finally here! Confusion because I never really thought the day would be here. I stared into his eyes as the hopefulness turned into worry, was he worried about what my response would be? I swear when I woke up today I didn't think it would be filled with double exciting news despite the current circumstances which by the way were about to change. "Amelia?" he choked out standing up and I realized I hadn't answered him yet. "Get back on your knee!" I quickly said, pushing him back down and nodding my head rapidly. "Yes, I'd love
Jason I sat in my home office sorting out files and making necessary adjustments to the documents before leaning back on my chair and releasing a heavy sigh. I read through the files I had just compiled together and I could feel the frown between my eyebrows deepen. I felt soft hands release the tension on my shoulders as they applied enough pressure, her lips made contact with my ear and I felt a pleasurable shiver run down my skin. "You're so tense, daddy. You should relax," I released a groan and held her hand to bring her around so that she could stand in front of me. My breath hitched as soon as I saw what she was wearing. "Do you like it, daddy?"
I had finally decided to have lunch with Marlene because under all this stress and shit that was currently happening, I thought I should at least get to know something about my brother's. I rushed into the restaurant after talking to Jason who wouldn't stop calling every two hours. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long?" I said to her and she shook her head, getting up and giving me a hug which I didn't expect at all. "It's alright, thank you for agreeing to meet me," she said excitedly and I smiled while taking my seat. "So how have you been? Your engagement and new position caught us all by surprise." "You can thank Rick for that," I mumbled under my breath and she gasped leaning forward. "The engagement too?" she ask
I stood in Jason's kitchen waiting for my food to warm up. I woke up starving not that it was anything new. I sent Ora a few texts before pushing myself off the counter once I heard the ding telling me my food was ready. I opened the microwave and I was attacked with sweet satisfying smells that made my stomach growl. I grabbed my bowl and instantly dug into my food walking out the kitchen and almost bumped into Jason, luckily my food was safe. "Hi," he whispered and I nodded my head taking another spoonful of food, a smile made its way on his face and I shrugged in question. "You must've been hungry." "I woke up hungry," I said softly as I took another spoon. "It's quite normal," I said walking away to the living room.
