CHAPTER THREE

Emma POV

I received I call from the hospital that my presence is need because other doctor whose in charge is absent.

Lauren! That girl really is a bitch. Why can't she quit? Rather than always absent. I always replace her place when she decided not to show up.

I hate this life! If not by my sister I will not go! It's just that I need money badly and I have several loans in the hospital. 

I head towards the hospital and as expected belle is also here. She's currently my shift partner which only the thing I like. 

"How are you?" I said to her 

"As always! Why did they call you? Your day off right?" She asked me.

"Well some stupid doctor decided to absent and here I am become the replacement!" I said.

"Hahaha she never changed!" She said

"Well! That girl is a bitch. What can you expect?" I told her.

Then we went to the emergency room since we have a VIP patient. It said that the patient suffer from car accident.

We went inside and eyes automatically landed on man lying on the bed. Oh my God! Out of all people in the world that guy?

When he left he's calling card in my hand. I read it and my eyes went wide. Xavier Knight! Of course who will not know this guy.

He's family is rich as fuck. Even he's rich on his own without his family money. Well! He's family own the hospital I work with which makes my eyes went wide. 

I am praying that we will not cross path again but I guess I am super unlucky!

I noticed the nurses and even the doctors ogling at him. Only me and Belle didn't swoon on his look. My god these women doesn't have any decency at all. Hello his a patient not a model here.

Belle and I began examine him. Good thing the glass did not stab his heart but almost! He must have a guardian angel who save him.

After we done taking out the glass in his chest. We proceed to tend his cuts, wounds and bruises. He also spring his thigh it will be a painful when he try to move.

Belle shift is done so I left alone to do the work. I went to examine few patients and studied their body condition.

Two more hours and I will be relieved from my shift. I decided to check on Xavier since it has been 8 hours we done the surgery to him.

I am shock that he's half conscious. I immediately went beside him and took a quick examination on his body. Wow he's responding well!

He look at me like he was dreaming. He grab my hand and press it but not so hard since he doesn't have energy 

" Your real!" He said in disbelief but in slow and weak voice.

"I am your doctor in charge. And please don't over do your self. Please have some rest!" I said then he pull out his hand 

"Thank you!" He said.

Wow he can say thank you? That's new to me.

He closed his eyes again and now sleeping. I went outside and I grab the my things from the office. I sigh! What a day I said to myself.

I went to my house only to find my sister crying because of pain. I immediately took her to the hospital.

She's now need urgent kidney transplant. Where can I get money from it?

I cry while I stare at her while she's sleeping soundly. I will do anything for her. She's the only family left for me. Seeing her being in pain breaks my heart into pieces.

I cried until I fall to sleep.
