CRYSTAL POV

“I knew I did the right decision entrusting this task to you. You outdid yourself.” Mr. Dankworth drawled mostly to himself while taking in the vast hall stretched in front of us. His deep timbre was carried along by the silence of the night, and I felt it rumbling all around me.

“I wouldn’t have done it without my team’s help, sir.” I jibed, taking a small step backward and out of his vicinity.
