Hayley
Xander left to Japan five days ago. I already feel like a pathetic mess. I have become what I promised myself I would never become again…the sad girlfriend…in this case wife…but I miss him so much. It's been a real wake-up call.
Just then my phone rings. It’s Xander.
“Hi Xander" I can’t keep the smile out of my voice.
“Hi babe, how are you doing?”
“Better now that I got to hear your voice. I miss you.”
He laughs, “I miss you too babe.”
“How’s the trip going?”
“Not as smoothly as I anticipated. The transition here isn’t going so well. I have to be here a little longer than planned”

Hayley I lie in bed in a daze for I don’t know how long, before I get up and unconsciously search the wash hamper for something of Xander’s. I find a shirt that still has the smell of his perfume. Xander Kyle and I pull up to Mr Hashimoto’s residence. We have been here over a week and this is the only free time we have found to visit our old friend. The house is wooden with screens and surrounded by a beautifully manicured garden. A little bridge walkway sits over a pond leading to the front door entrance. Hayley When I open my eyes, my head is in the crook of Xander’s arm and my hand is wrapped snuggly against his waist. It feels so good to be this close to him again.
