Rose's pov.
I was on my way to the company when I got a call from grandma. She is so excited from the news that Lorcan and I are getting married. She had already called the designer and wanted me to try on a few dresses.
I don't want a grand wedding, a simple one is fine with me. But since both Lorcan and grandma wanted a grand wedding, I guess I can do that for them. They both are very important to me.
The car suddenly stopped in front of the company and I carefully got out of the car. I'm only allowed to work for a week after that I'll stay at home until I give birth. Lorcan said he doesn't want to take risks.
As I approached the company's entrance, I noticed a figure standing near the entrance. I stilled upon recognising the face.
It was Meera. But what is she doing here? Lorcan said she won't ever come back as he warned her strictly not to interfere in our life. He even fired her from the company, so what does she want now?
However, I de
Rose's pov.I was working to get my mind off Meera when I received a call from the receptionist downstairs. "Hello?""Madam, there's a woman here who insists she's your mother and wants to see you urgently," the receptionist informed hesitantly. "Should I send her to you?"I frowned, unable to believe her. I hadn't seen or spoken to my mother in months. After our relationship soured because of her stubbornness of not leaving my abusive father, I forced myself to leave her own fate. Last time, when she came to meet me, it was to beg me to ask Lorcan to let him know what he did in the press conference.I am worried about what she is doing here today."Please let her in," I instructed her. My chest suddenly tightened. I don't know why after being ignored by her I still feel responsible towards her for all the time she had been there to save me from my father's beatings despite her own past pain.Someone escorted her to my office. My heart pound
Lorcan's pov.I stepped inside the house. I rushed here on grandma's call. Rose, my beautiful wife is on it again. It's been happening for a few days now. No matter how much I tried to indulge her, she believed that she would not look good in her wedding dress due to her belly."Lorcan, thank god you're here," Grandma met me with her usual warm smile.Giving her a hug, I asked. "Where's Rose?""She was feeling self-conscious again. She's in her room right now."I sighed in worry and made my way to our bedroom. I softly knocked on the door. "Rose, love, it's me. Open the door."No response.I took a deep breath and tried again. "Can I come in...sweetheart?" I called with more tenderness. And finally a choked voice came out. "Y-Yes, come in."Opening the door, I stepped into the room and saw her seated on the edge of the bed, surrounded by so many breathtaking wedding dresses. Her eyes were slightly red, my heart broke to
Rose's pov.Amidst the chaos, I prepared for the most important day of my life.My wedding day.As much as it sounds magical, I was shivering from the nervousness. I still couldn't believe it was finally happening. I'm marrying Lorcan, the love of my life.It was a destination wedding. We arrived here in a coastal town two days ago. And I'm just enjoying its sandy shores and tall palm trees that swayed in the ocean breeze. The venue was a stunning beachfront resort, decorated with delicate white drapes swaying in the wind and fragrant flowers in shades of pink and lavender gracing every corner. The ceremony area was set with an elegant wooden arch entwined with fresh flowers.I was waiting inside my bridal suite. I was surrounded by my mother and grandmother. I was wearing the gown Lorcan selected for me. And he had complimented me so much that I was feeling confident."You look so pretty, baby," Mom smiled with wet eyes. I couldn't b
Rose's pov. It's been two weeks since my marriage, and I have never been happier. My life is going great. No, not just great but perfect. The things I didn't get to experience in my first marriage, I'm experiencing all now.And it's because of Lorcan. My wonderful husband is perfect. Including grandma and mom. Grandma has shifted in with us because it could be any day that I would have my baby now.Mom and grandma are taking care of me as my morning swings and random stomach pain have gotten worse. So, they are taking turns to keep me company. Also, they have become really good friends. They would share stories of their own experiences with motherhood, and offer tips and advice. Their presence ease my nerves when Lorcan is not around, making me feel more prepared for the journey of being a mother.I turned the page of the book I was reading on new parents in the living room when my phone rang, and saw Lorcan's name on the screen. Lorcan's pov.I rushed Rose to the hospital. She had fainted and bled a lot of blood.Panic and fear creeped my heart and soul and it was heightening with each passing second. I have never felt so much fear, I have never felt so helpless.Everything was going great so why this suddenly!I anxiously waited outside the emergency room while both Rose and my child were fighting with death inside. I paced back and forth, my hands couldn't stop trembling, every minute felt like an eternity. After who knows how long, the red light switched off and the doctor came out."How is Rose, doctor?!" I hurriedly asked, my palms getting sweaty. He sighed with a solemn expression, taking out his face from his reports and looking at me. My heart thumping rapidly, threatening to come out of my throat. "Mr. Lorcan we have examined your wife, and the blow she received was on her stomach," he told me, increasing my heartbeats. "It had caused severe internal
Rose's pov.Six years later."Higher, daddy, higher!" Olivia squealed, laughing excitedly.Lorcan chuckled, giving the swing an extra push. "Hold on tight, sweetie."I watched them with a smile as my little girl giggled with delight. It was the best view ever, seeing my baby playing happily with her father.Life had never been busier for both of us, so we get less time to spend with our kids. Our busy schedules keep us occupied. However, we are trying to strike a perfect balance between our professional work and our roles as loving parents to our two angels. Olivia and Liam. And even though we are busy, we made sure to present for every important moment in our children's lives. Whether it was attending Olivia's school events, or cheering Liam to become friends with his classmates since he has anxiety. Both Lorcan and I are extra protective of our kids after I almost lost Liam six years back. The thought still gives me chills. Lorcan,
Rose's pov.Olivia and Liam were extremely excited when we announced that we would be taking them to Grandma's house."Grammy has a big playroom, mama!" Liam was having a hard time controlling his happiness. Grandma had done so much for them in her house. She loved to spoil them.We have to leave to visit a Resort and see if it would be good for our next shooting location. The owner knows Lorcan and invited us for a two night stay. So, grandma suggested that the kids would stay with her, she was missing them as well."Everything ready?" Lorcan showed up in the doorway."Yeah, Please pick Oli's water bottle from the kitchen counter and we are ready to go," I said, handing him the kid's bag that I packed. Liam ran after him."Come here, love," Picking up Oli, I left the room as well.We arrived at Grandma's house in an hour, and she greeted us with warm hugs and smiles. "Oh, my little monster!""Grammy! We bought you cookies!" Li
Rose's pov.The stars twinkled in the night sky, holding hands as we walked along the beach's edge. Cold breeze welcomed us by tickling our faces. The view was breathtaking as well as the person walking besides me.Lorcan dragged me away from the venue to steal a moment alone for us. The soft sand under my feet felt cool and soothing. Lorcan was wrapping his arm around my waist holding me close, as if he never wanted to let me go. And it was the same for me.The moment was just so calming and magical. We finally had our wedding not just on paper but with traditional rituals as well. I was trying to control my happiness but I just couldn't. Finally everything was right, there's nothing to be afraid of. It feels like the beginning of a beautiful tomorrow."I never thought I would have a moment like this in my life. Life is really unpredictable," Lorcan said.My lips curved into a big smile, my heart overflowing with affection for this man. "Fate has
