Chapter 144: Plan is on Course

After Fiona left, Mirenda sat in the office wondering what was happening to Fiona. She had seen Fiona on TV a couple of times and she was a live bubbling person. She remembered her from the press conference where Mrs Haward humiliated her. It was like a light inside her was turned off. Mirenda recalled how Fiona left the place completely shamed. Her mind shifted to when Fiona saved her from being run over by a vehicle. She was not this off. There was still some life inside her. She also recalled the setup meeting with James.

"Was James accusing her of drugs the last blow that broke the camel's back?" Mirenda thought but immediately remembered Fiona was pregnant.

"It's been close to a year since she lost her baby. O gee, James made her lose the baby. That means she has not been able to get over it," Mirenda thought.

"Stupid me. How did I miss that?" Mirenda said to herself and grabbed her phone.

She dialled Fiona's number and waited for it to connect.
