CHAPTER 62

NELLY

Two men entered the room a few seconds later and broke up the fight between David and Edward. The tallest of the security guards wraps Edward around the waist, impeding his advance, which by far was the wisest idea considering the murderous look on his face. Both he and David have exchanged threats, but I feel that some of their hatred has nothing to do with me directly, but with unfinished business from the past.

I'll bet you a buck that all repressed hatred has to do with Carlota and her set-ups in the past. David has already made it clear that Charlotte was stalking him and caused him to transfer schools.

My eyes were torn between my first youthful crush and my platonic love, but when David caught me staring, I had to feign indifference.

It turns out that it is very difficult to camouflage feelings, let alone hide them in front of the eyes of the person you like.
