Chapter 428 Maia, Let’s Go Home

“Maia, tell me. What’s wrong with you?” Rebecca kept asking over the phone. She needed to know what was happening to Maia’s body.

“I think I’m dying. I need to know the truth. I have the right to know, don’t I?” Maia added weakly as the hand covering her nose started to lose its strength as well.

Rebecca realized that the situation was dire. Instead of choosing to continue to lie to her, she told Maia the truth. “The antidote that we gave you was fake. The real cure to the drug is in Lauren’s hands. Cedric struck a deal with her in exchange of it.”
